I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

The world loves a comeback story. The plummet from grace of Harry has been something really we have not witnessed in a while, particularly since he has committed no actual crime and at the same time has absolutely no remorse or self awareness. Still, its a fall, and I am pretty sure it's not even over. So maybe its premature to ask...can he come back? I really cannot see a scenario in which these two find any path to redemption. Can they ever be anything but cringeworthy? Besides the Africa scenario, is there anything they could do to rehabilitate themselves?

So, looking through our last few pages, looks like we’re ready to start up the betting pool for Harkle Decoupling.

So far I’ve seen:

- May 6th
- Within 18 months
- 8 years to maximize payoff
- Or no divorce living on separate continents

And the BRF will:
- Quietly move Harry into a small property, get him therapy and a media blackout
- Have Harry “volunteering in Africa”
- Wash their hands of him entirely

Any bets on if the kids will go with Harry or Megan, or are we pretty much all sure Megan will keep them and merch them out?

Timeline:
10 -1 on within 18 months or I have to eat someone's left shoe

BRF will h
33-1 have Harry managing an orphanage in Africa (lots of photo ops) however, the orphanage will actually be a boarding school for royally related and rich kids

Kids:
2-1 Meg merches/rents out the kids and lives of momager revenue until they're mid-30s and they end-up in a remake of What Happened to Baby Lil Jane?"

well maybe if their foundation really did something besides making public appearances and donating modest sums that they got from other wealthier people....but I doubt that will happen

or maybe if he returned to the RF and acted more like his brother but he's already told the world what he feels about that

The last question depends on if she finds a billionaire sucker. If she does she won't need them, they'll be excess baggage and she'll markle her own kids. I believe in never say never, and the possibility exists of them ending up at Windsor under the care of nannies and family members while Dad gallivants around Africa and Mom does God knows what. Could be the best thing for them though.

Regarding that 10 year rule, I believe that applies to spousal support not the 50/50 property division. I think we have some attorneys here who might be able to clarify. I don't think she'll hang around when the money starts to dry up, which may already be happening. I would not put it past her to say give me $50 mil, you can have the kids and I'm outta here.

"Would" indicates to me that it is just more speculation, as opposed to saying "will take place". I think hell would freeze over before AW would invite Her Tackiness.

At this point, Harry’s biggest issues are that he shows up where he’s not wanted, is a hypocrite, and gossips. And most of all, the fact he doesn’t want redemption.

But Diana’s baby boy has managed to go from Nazi-loving drunkard to Invictus games hero. So, he’s come back from worse.

All he needs is 4 simple steps:

1) Go to rehab. Blame the worst excesses of the last few years on paranoia from the drugs.

2) Apologize to his family. This is going to be a lot harder than he thinks, because we would just think worse of Charles for killing the fatted calf, and even be a little suspicious that sentiment overwhelmed Will. At this point, he would need to have Kate and Sophie smiling at him and glad to see him for the public to accept that he has apologized and will change.

3) Give a tell-all interview or write a book where he humbles himself, talks about how the drugs and alcohol masked his mental health problems, owns up to being a bully over the years, and talks about what he has learned and how he has changed. Money is donated to a legitimate charity that actually helps people

4) only shows up at royal occasions where even Andy is invited. Only speaks out or gets involved with charities concerning addiction issues, mental health or veterans services. Only gets involved with veterans when actually invited. Stay out of the press unless it’s positive.

And in 10 years or so, we should gloss over the last three as his unfortunate years.

Whether he’s divorced or not shouldn’t affect it - but enough people will blame Megan that he’ll probably be able to shave a few years off his sackcloth and ashes years. Kids playing together with their cousins or looking up adoringly at grandpa Charles will also get him bonus points as long as the photos aren’t merched (“he had some issues, but at least he’s a good dad.”)

People genuinely want the Fab Four circa 2018 to be real. Diana fans want her sons to be happy and thriving.

But even the most sentimental among us have a hard time ignoring the filth, and cruelty and betrayal. And we aren’t quite naive enough to believe that it’s easy.

He has really trashed himself too thoroughly with his father and his brother. Unless some mental expert certifies him as off his nut and not responsible for anything he has said, I don't see rehab for him. That said, if they had to find a cottage for him to hide in, I think they would. Andrew should have a spare bedroom for him in any event. Meghan will always find a way to survive and reinvent herself. It is easy for her as she will just come up with some new truths that fits the scenario.

Unless he has electroshock therapy, I don't see him ever being able to humble himself. He would need a total brain reset.

Can he come back? Yes, but I only see it happening if his life takes a dark turn. Like really dark. Like a drug overdose or suicide attempt dark.

He’s so difficult to relate to that I think only feelings of extreme pity from the public could redeem him.
