I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I just read other than Cornwall and Lancaster, British royal dukedoms are titular and do not include landholdings.
So… if you are not in the UK and are not a working royal, what are the titles for?
Putting yourself above the riffraff?
I have said before, this country went through war and bloodshed to rid itself of royalty and titles. We work and climb up the social ladder, and here, we can rise above our birth situation, but to import a title and bring it back here and expect to be considered superior… it’s ridiculous.

I also thought Zed looked dumpy and stumpy at the mourning walkabout, like all she did was slip on a sack dress from the 80% off rack at J. Jill and couldn't be bothered to style her hair. In her defense ( :sick: ), she was standing near Catherine, so there's that. Of course, that made her look even worse. Zed and Haz were probably jubilant and couldn't contain themselves at the thought of a big inheritance. She had to conserve her energy for the dramatic curtsey the next day. Surprising her huge stupid looking beach hat didn't fall off when she did. Or start on fire from the candle.

The only amusing part is Harry saying “that’s why I’m married.” He actually seems to prefer not having to think for himself and letting her do all that for him.

Pretty sure those aren’t real eggs. The dogs would have ambled along behind them, eating them as they went, if they were. :biggrin:

It was all for show, so fake eggs are definitely likely.

This Easter Egg clip reminds me of a comment on the movie Flashdance (showing my age :lol: ). One critic pointed out that in the past, the plot would be about the female lead's climb to fame and success AFTER the audition. In the same way, the highlight of the clip ought to be the kids' excitement when they search for and find the eggs, not a celebration of how wonderful Zed and her tagalongs are when they hide the alleged eggs.

Do they not own any shoes unless they're merched?? I mean, I loved to run around barefoot in the grass as a kid myself, and I'm in CA too, where all I wear are sandals, but barefoot? Almost all the time??? BTW, I come from a culture where you don't wear your outside shoes in the house. Walking all over the earth in bare feet then walking all through your house? Ugh.
Does Haz say, "Come on family"? Who is he talking to? TW and Doria, who are already out the door? So staged, it's gross.
