Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

Agree, this latest version makes no sense ..
Assume injury happened in Canada, well Guy was quarantined upon entry to the UK - it can last for up to 4 months, well Guy would have healed while in quarantine, the casts would have been long gone before G arrived at Nott Cott
Both of them are such lying sacks of sh!t you can’t believe a word they say. They are always revising the narrative to make themselves look better. My personal belief is one of them injured Guy accidentally (I hope!) and this was a way to blame the negligence on a mystery peon who doesn’t exist.

The controversial 'trauma expert' interviewing Prince Harry: Gabor Maté was warned by the Canadian government over his work with illegal 'spiritual' drug and called Gaza the 'world's largest outdoor prison'

Dr Maté has a harrowing personal story that has shaped his career. Born in Budapest in 1944, his maternal grandparents were killed in Auschwitz when he was five months old.

He was separated from his mother as a baby to save his life, while his father was subjected to forced labour by the Nazis.

The academic has described how he was unable to look at his mother when they were finally reunited due to feelings of 'abandonment, rage and despair'.

He says the trauma he suffered continues to affect his adult life, leading to an intense emotional reaction when he perceives a threat of abandonment, especially from his wife.

From the same article (DM seems to love the green outfit ;)):

New data from the US shows the drop in the couple's approval ratings over the last three months.

In the department of constantly changing stories, remember how Guy the beagle had two broken legs early on? Meghan and Harry were tight-lipped about what happened to the poor dog. It was assumed by everyone at the time he had been injured in England a couple of months after Meghan moved to be with Harry. However, in his book Harry offers this new version of the story, mainly leading up to his gushing about his love for Meghan.

I’m calling BS on this version by the way. Meghan didn’t have any “work” to go to at that time.

"Meg's dog, her beat-up little beagle, was even more beat-up of late," Harry wrote of when Meghan first moved to the UK with Guy. "He was badly injured. Days before Meg left Canada, Guy had run away from his minder. (Meg was at work.) He'd been found miles from Meg's house, unable to walk. His legs were now in casts," Harry wrote.

The Duke of Sussex went on to detail how he cared for Guy, holding the hound so it could go to the bathroom. Harry shared that he realised how much he loved Meghan at this very moment.

"I didn't mind in the least. I loved that dog," Harry shared. "I couldn't stop kissing him, petting him. My intense feelings for Meg spilled over onto anyone or anything she loved."

Wait...weren't his legs in cast in the awful video of the proposal for the poor?

Also, OF COURSE it was the dog minder.
