I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Dr Maté has a harrowing personal story that has shaped his career. Born in Budapest in 1944, his maternal grandparents were killed in Auschwitz when he was five months old.

He was separated from his mother as a baby to save his life, while his father was subjected to forced labour by the Nazis.

The academic has described how he was unable to look at his mother when they were finally reunited due to feelings of 'abandonment, rage and despair'.

He says the trauma he suffered continues to affect his adult life, leading to an intense emotional reaction when he perceives a threat of abandonment, especially from his wife.

Obviously, I didn't experience his life and have no idea what kind of trauma he experienced, but he couldn't look at his mother once reunited because he was separated from her to save his life? Why are psychologically damaged people chosen to lecture about psychological damage? There’s no shortage of f*cked up people in the world. Is hearing from someone who had it worse than you (this guy, not Harry) supposed to make you feel better about yourself?

Both of them are such lying sacks of sh!t you can’t believe a word they say. They are always revising the narrative to make themselves look better. My personal belief is one of them injured Guy accidentally (I hope!) and this was a way to blame the negligence on a mystery peon who doesn’t exist.

Neither one of them strikes me as someone who can control their temper, ESPECIALLY when there are no photographers around - none who can be bribed to keep their mouths shut anyway. My gut feeling is that one of them did it during a temper tantrum. With the people of both the US and the UK so in love with their own dogs and taking uncounted billions of photos of their adored fur babies, WHY do we hardly ever see any photos or videos of THEIR dogs, except when they're taking them on leads for pap walks?

The Invisi-Kids aren't the only ones in that household I feel sorry for. I wouldn't trust the Prince and his DINO with my Pet Rock.
