I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

With all this "will they or won't they", can someone in the know tell us whether the invites have actually been sent out already? I am just wondering because I know for a fact that the court has not even sent out their Christmas cards yet. Well, at least my sources have not gotten theirs yet so maybe they skipped the whole card business this year.

I understand that, for example, Albert of Monaco has already confirmed his presence. It is possible that invitations are being sent to people according to their status. Their minister of propaganda seems to think that the Harkles' invitations have not yet been sent out.

The slump in Harry and Meghan's popularity in the U.S. may not hit them in the pocket as they have been unpopular in Britain for years but their projects remain a commercial success.

Prince Harry was liked by 32 percent and disliked by 42 percent of those polled, giving him a net approval rating of -10, in research conducted by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek on February 19.

That is a drop of three points since Newsweek's polling on January 16 which had him at -7. And he has now dropped 48 points since December 5 when polling by Redfield & Wilton for Newsweek put him on +38.

Meghan Markle was liked by 27 percent of Americans and disliked by 44 percent giving her a net rating -17 in our latest February 19 figures.

That represents a drop of four points since January 16, when she was on -13, and of 40 points since December 5 when she was on +23…

The decline in Harry and Meghan's popularity in America may not stop them earning money, after all they have been similarly unpopular in Britain for years and their projects remain commercially successful.

I don’t think she would get a tiara. She would be there like any other guest. If this was the coronation of bygone days the Dukes/Duchesses would be in full regalia with coronets.

Actually, it is hard to see in the photo, but the Duchess of Gloucester , I think that is the late Alice, wears both a tiara and a coronet
The ladies coronets are small in diameter as they have to fit within the tiara

What tiara SHALL MM wear ? Anything goes, design it, find it, does not have to be a BRF tiara at all, cornets would work, laurel leaves, wheat sheaves

My personal vote is I hope MM gets to wear the Teck crescent tiara, sadly the bottom row of bling was removed, but here it was in all its Belle Epoque beauty worn by the mother of Queen Mary. But they need to find tiara base, glue it on, so, MM has the tallest tiara of all

Thats what is so amusing. There is no there, there. Made up title with no land , heritage and nothing handed down. You do not run out to the corner jeweler and pick up a coronet, much less find the regalia unless you go to Western Costume.

There has been conflicting information about who wanted what. Did the Harry wanting the ring story originate with Burrell? I thought I’d heard it elsewhere.
