I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

The thing is that matrons at private schools, in general, are not known to be "hot" or babes. They are usually unmarried, divorced or widows woman. Usually older as well. I think Harry's imagination works overtime in the wrong ways.

Well I mean if it’s true tbh a lot of teenage boys in boys school would probably be attracted to a cactus in a skirt and I think he’s going for a sort of Jennifer Coolidge experienced older woman vibe which is very alluring to a lot of people….
but at the same time I think it’s this whole conceit that he lived in a man’s world and he was basically a novice by the time he met M apart from a few meaningless encounters type thing because of course she taught him all about love and femininity and all that and his 2 previous serious girlfriends were footnotes.

I mean Africa would make sense because it’s where H goes to ‘find himself’ on his lifelong gap yah and also if they go into impoverished communities with no access to the media or tv chances are they won’t be quite so sick of the endless PR for his crap book as we are.

But if he’s in devaluation then she won’t want to take him somewhere he’s happy.

Totally agree with idea that they shouldn’t be encouraging using the kids as a PR stunt especially given we’ve heard ad nauseum about how H resented being used as PR stunt when he was 13(?) never mind 3(?)
