I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

I'm still baffled as to what the RF should be apologising for!

For offending them by not giving them everything they wanted, namely endless cash and being put on a pedestal. Oh, and for not forcing all of the press everywhere to only write glowing commentary about them.

Wow....this piece right here nails it: The Duchess of Sussex apparently feels compelled to constantly test your love, devotion, and limits, in a game of emotional chicken. Like an awkward 4-year-old seeking assurance of her mother’s affections, she poses the question, “How much do you love me?” by convincing you that your family is the enemy. In Meghan’s mind, you must take sides. It is either them or her. Like a teenager with a gothic bent who repeatedly demands, “If the house was on fire dad, which one of us kids would you save?”

That is what was so insulting. It showed how completely tone deaf Meghan is. She expected women living in dire circumstances to act grateful that the rich foreign duchess came to offer them a few words of wisdom via banana. It was a photo op where they were all supposed to pretend it was wonderful that Meghan is so nice.

She may as well have said let them eat cake. She didn’t offer them any assistance and she forgot about them the minute her private jet took off. Selfish b!tch.

Wow! Meghan testing how much he loves her is a good observation.
She did this twice (maybe more) that we know of. The HS play that her father volunteered to set up the lighting, and after Meghan had a fight with a fellow cast member and withdrew from the play she demanded her father do the same. He refused. Meghan more recently demanded that her father have nothing to do with her two half siblings and he refused. She tested him and he failed. Markled! One of these days, Harry will flunk the test and there is no one else he can get to take it for him.
