I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

While rocking along on the subway this morning, I had a subversive thought occur to me regarding the lipgloss. Sparry should have been a gentleman and offered his love his tube of emergency Elizabeth Arden cream. After all, it was good enough for his mother's lips. At that point, I would suggest that since his "kills" were done whilst he was in the British Army, that he go back to the UK where they can protect him as he was in the service of THAT COUNTRY and not the US.

Alternatively, since he volunteered the info to make money out of the book that put all British nationals a target (justifying the murder of at least one already), I would suggest he go back to Afghanistan and preach "compassion" to the Taliban.

I think she means therapy, counselling concentrated on finding practical solutions and focusing on the 'now'. It is widely believed by professionals that unlike those that have suffered from PTSD, people with CPTSD should not have therapy. Perhaps he was treated for PTSD when he should have been treated for CPTSD (complex post-traumatic stress disorder).

And who was prohibiting him from learning anything? Sure, his father can pay for all his needs, but his choice not to learn anything is his own. If he had wanted to learn something that could be used to earn a living, even if it was for fun, like woodwork or cooking, does he seriously think his father would "prohibit" him from doing so? He would be given the best teachers and all the time he needed to master the skill. And Charles was certainly not the one who whined about seeking financial independence. That came from him and his wench. Too bad that their idea of "independence" meant his father would just hand over the $$$$ and not question what they did with it.

Yeah that’s probably the least subtle product placement in the whole book. Very embarrassing that he’s positioning benefitting from zero hours Labour as a life affirming experience. I’m also sure parcels are delivered to royal homes and there’s nothing to stop him asking his butler to sit down for five mins and let him answer the door.

Honestly this book is so disconnected from any reality it is tedious.
Ive realised what it reminds me of — it is just a bad rewrite of Beautiful Things without the crazy drug stories.

I can totally see how they could not be aware.

Besides, when traveling on public transport, when I give up my seat for a someone noticeably pregnant or wearing a 'Baby on Board' badge, I don't ask for evidence or a doctor's note. And as you know, I have a suspicious nature .

Alarm bells rang due to my hearing about the difficulties faced by at least 4 friends in their mid-30s-40s in conceiving and carrying to full-term as first-time parent. The ease and timing of H&M's pregnancies were not only convenient but almost miraculous. M's weight gain on such an obviously quite vain and obsessed-with-appearences person almost had me convinced. The squatting and bounce up at visits, I thought looked weird (but I've never been pregnant).Suspicions were heightened after the fishy, murky and ultra-secretive birth-circumstances around Archie (and Lil) the wording on the announcement of A from BP, the timeline (that just doesn't work - with miscarriages too) Mills & Boon PS composite photos of en famille that really turned alarm bells tinkles into deafening air-raid warnings.

For others, it's only idiosyncratic photographic evidence along a timeline, and corroborated statements on impossible activities from other pregnant women that have made many more suspicious. As someone recently posted, the Palace was alerted by the vigilant public.

Can someone tell me why, what and how Moonbumps and similar contraptions are made and used for in the ordinary way? Are they used like those babies given to teens at some schools so that adolescents won't have early pregnancies?

Oprah and Gayle (and M) set out to manipulate the public by engineering a media coup by feigning an accusation (they knew wasn't true) that locked into a real abhorrence (racism) felt, witnessed and experienced by many, and created a moral panic that saw an entire nation tarred with a brush unfairly and with no basis in truth and fuel for many that used the fake news for their own ends.

TRG - was not only analysing (or reanalysing) the interview from her POV and with the hindsight that we now have (int March 7, 2021) but making us aware of how they (O&G/CBS) set-up the story, used platforms, timing and biased commentary to set the agenda.

I would put Oprah in the same category as Martin Bashir for their journalistic integrity (as in - they have none). Don't know about Gayle (because I'm in the UK - we are more familiar with OW) - but that's what TRG said too, Gayle also used the fiasco to broaden and raise her public profile globally.
