Prince Harry and Meghan Markle thread

I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Thanks for reading.

There's a yacht club in Buenoes Aires, as it's on the coast. Is that what she meant by an "internship"? She does speak the language of swaying hips.

She'll immerse herself in a culture when duty calls, but not British culture since she "didn't know about the Commonwealth". Besides, Brits were supposed to kowtow to HER, she couldn't be bothered to learn their culture.
Did she ever complete her 5 weeks of internship? There were stories that it was cut short because she seduced a married man. If true, then her talent certainly manifested at a young age.
Gayle also used the fiasco to broaden and raise her public profile globally.
Never heard of Gayle before her involvement with Zed. I now know Oprah and Gayle as frauds.
I’ve never been pregnant, but that particular dress in the video was such a tight fit I was uncomfortable for her!
The definition of bursting at the seams. It's amazing that the dress didn't.
I actually took a good look at the photos recently annd realized the seams really were stretched to the max.

They could put him in a nice padded room with a guard at the door.

Still, imo, any time a nearly 40 year old father of 2 tells the world about his frozen todger and his extensive use of drugs, the world is required to mock that man-child as much as possible.
I'm in on the required mockery! I'll contribute a limerick:

While writing a book outside in his garden
He felt his small heart and nether parts harden
When he's an old codger
We'll still call him Todger
And he'll blame it all on Elizabeth Arden :yucky:

Those first two lines are definitely the ghostwriter's. Sparry wouldn't have a clue about veal.

And who was prohibiting him from learning anything? Sure, his father can pay for all his needs, but his choice not to learn anything is his own. If he had wanted to learn something that could be used to earn a living, even if it was for fun, like woodwork or cooking, does he seriously think his father would "prohibit" him from doing so? He would be given the best teachers and all the time he needed to master the skill. And Charles was certainly not the one who whined about seeking financial independence. That came from him and his wench. Too bad that their idea of "independence" meant his father would just hand over the $$$$ and not question what they did with it.

Maybe in the second photo, she "enhanced" the bump by pulling the cloth tighter beneath it. Notice the position of her hands. Not exactly cradling, but definitely placed so that the cloth beneath the bump would be drawn back. She might also have adopted the "pelvis thrust forward" pose like she did in that Misan photo announcing her second pregnancy. She does appear to believe that the correct way to convince anyone that she is pregnant is to look like a whale. (Apologies to whales...)

I have seen these pics before, and I don't know about it being photoshopped. I thought that Getty images were untouched?

When you purchase photos from Getty you must give them a photo credit, which they did here. However, you are not forbidden to retouch them or change them. One of these (almost certainly the big honkin’ pregnant one) has had some work done.

Either that or the dress was as wide as a muumuu and could cover up the moonbump in the first photo.
Hopefully this works. Here they are from the Getty website directly.

I recall awhile back many, many people came out with "repressed" memories of childhood abuse that turned out to be questionable. They weren't sure if therapists encouraged these memories or if they were real.
Shows the importance of going to an actual trained therapist with no hidden agenda of their own.

Thanks. Is it because she has her arms and clutch tucked right under her moonbump belly that it looks so exaggerated?

This is a rabbit hole I didn’t want to go down but I find it strangely fascinating.
So bizarre. It's not a rabbit hole I'm interested in either... but so odd.

Regards the moonbump with a life of its own, there is the video of her in the black and white (tight) dress walking towards the camera and the bump seems to be swinging from side to side. People have said that it is an optical illusion caused by the fabric pattern. I've watched that video multiple times and even when I try to discount the pattern, it still looks like it's swaying. Wondering if any Photoshop pros out there have tried to change the fabric to a plain colour and then see if the bump is still bouncing around.

Wow. In other words: "Don't blame me for being utterly stupid. Because I never had to do anything for myself I was ripe pickings for anything to happen to me."

Is this simply an excuse to poo-poo away all the bad choices he'd made (including marry Claw) ?

This is like reading: "You have to feel sorry for me because my family is so damned rich that I could afford to be stupid, therefore, nothing should ever be held against me. Even for marrying a gold digging pretty girl who played me like a violin. Nothing is ever our fault. Not even my wife who cut in front of my Grandma several times and b*tched about not getting paid for appearances as though all the perks of royal life weren't enough. She must have made billions on "Suits" because nothing my family did for her and gave us was ever enough. That's why I love her. I'm so damned stupid that I feel bad that all my family's riches could never be enough for her."
