I kindly request that all members participating in the MM and Harry thread dial back the vile rhetoric.

I am not opposed to discussing public personas on TPF, including the constant torrent of news surrounding the couple from this thread. But I find it troubling when their looks are being nitpicked apart to a degree that is just not appropriate.

This thread has drawn criticism over the years, and I discussed it at great length with Megs and the mods. I am not looking to close it down, but the vitriol needs to be dialed back.

My personal feelings about hate threads aside, this ultra-negative vibe is something better suited for other forums, Reddit, or elsewhere. I am holding our community to higher standards.

Col Tom Parker his manager was most likely in the US illegally. He was born in Holland. Even if he became legal, he didn't want to travel out of the US for fear of being extradited on a crime that he might have been involved in. He turned down numerous offers for Elvis to tour in Europe and overseas. Elvis had been in the army in Germany, so it wasn't as if he had never been out of the US.

Elvis overpaid his taxes all through his career. Parker didn't want to do anything that would jeopardize his own status in the US. There were no fancy accountants hired to find tax breaks etc for Elvis' earnings. It wasn't until the end of his life that Elvis tried to break away from him.

That seems to be their MO. Announce things without warning and let everyone else deal with the fall out. If they don't like how it's dealt with, cry racism, safety concerns, miscarriages, and blame lip gloss.

Sure, but they didn't need to give him the 40 millions state wedding, especially not after the greedy grifters INSISTED on the same budget as William and Kate. I feel that would have been a great opportunity for another "You cannot get whatever you want. You get what is given by me".

P.S. He did ask The Queen for permission. Obviously he would have gone through with it anyway, but maybe a bit more modest.

E was married in October, Archie was born in early May (supposedly, and with an accuracy of two weeks , he had changed so much in the two weeks before the photos taken a few days old … )
MM was like 2-3 mos pregnant at the wedding and wore a maternity dress .. REALLY ???

Well … the BRF would have been lambasted for not giving its first mixed race member a ladida wedding …
Zara and Peter were married in Scotland , if I remember, low key

Yes book recounts his asking QEII for permission but when did he do it ? He states her answer was “well I guess I must agree “ (or similar words indicating her reluctance)
