Her wedding ring is precariously loose (especially for one so apparently heavily pregnant) - if that's her wedding ring of course.
she just can’t look presentable can she? Even her fingers fight against a good fit
This is an interesting thought:
I’m confused what’s even being alleged here. 1 minute it’s a sex tape with a dude I assume… next minute it’s some sort of hazing/torture video? Are they saying it turns into a all-girl S&M orgy because as little as I know about sororities I’ve never got the impression they are havens for the expression of sapphic desire especially in the 90s.
For what it’s worth I don’t think it’s a sex tape because:
1. I don’t think most people think consenting adults filming themselves is morally wrong. Unwise maybe but not something to punish someone over.
2. There would always be some ambiguity on who released it to the public. Could it be revenge porn? Acknowledging it would be morally wrong in that case.
3. They already knew she was living in a private members club and fishing for dates with wealthy men. Then she latched onto him very quickly while claiming she didn’t know who he was….. What conclusions would one draw from this? and would one be subsequently shocked by a sex tape?
Incidentally, do I learn a lot from this thread, I didn’t know anything about Elvis beyond the basics - so I started reading about him and his personal life at lunch and I have to say… sometimes ignorance is bliss
But then again, that’s very Haz isn’t it? Happy to pick a fight about carpets not interested in addressing the grooming issue or any real issues.
Award shows these days have lost their luster. When awards go to people for non-merit reasons, it's a slam in the face to those who are deserving. When somebody gets passed over, the shows sometimes try to "make up" for it years later. Meanwhile, the whole award show thing is tarnished and basically meaningless. I think viewers say "OK, this one really deserves it" or "Clearly this award checks boxes and that is all", fooling no one.
I only follow the Oscar’s for the jokes and it’s never been a mark of quality tbh - I mean the films that haven’t won vs what has says it all.
There’s usually some funny moments though The year lala land… no moonlight won …get off the stage was funny and (although I felt sorry for Chadwick Bozeman’s family) when they announced Anthony Hopkins had unexpectedly won it and he’d gone to bed already - that was funny too. Oh and when Michael Keaton very visibly put his speech away when Eddie Redmayne of all people won an acting award.
Anyhow, all these awards are decided on by extremely out of touch, rich but bitter old theatre kids so it’s not entirely surprising things that pay them or extremely obvious and unsubtle politics they think will make them look good. So on that note I do think H has a good chance because he can pay them and he’s about on the right level of nuance.
