Primary rhinoplasty (non-silicone) with Dr. Lee at BT Plastic Surgery Korea

Hi all, I had primary rhinoplasty (functional and cosmetic) with Dr. Lee Seungho at BT Plastic Surgery (BT ps) Korea.

Before coming to this clinic, I consulted with several other popular ENT clinics in Seoul.

Why I decided to have surgery with BT ps:
1. Dr. Lee Seungho is a ENT doctor with +20 years experience. He used to work with DA plastic surgery. I had a look at his previous work and his results are very beautiful. He was also confident and reassured me that he will produce a good result (the other clinics found my case difficult).
2. Clinic is foreigner friendly and price is reasonable. Several of the staff members can speak English and are very attentive. There is a set price (foreigner and Korean price is same).

Summary of my experience: Consultation day: I spent 2-4 hours at BT plastic surgery. When I arrived there, Grace (English speaking staff member) greeted me and asked the standard pre-consult questions. Note: I also came for facial contouring surgery consultation with Dr. Lee Hobin (didn't proceed with the surgery as I was still unsure to do bone surgery).

I had a long consultation with Dr. Lee Seungho. He was able to read my old CT face scans I had on my laptop (much appreciated - to minimise radiation dose). Unlike other clinics, he also examined my nose via endoscopy.
The treatment plan was:
> 2mm bridge augmentation with dermis harvested from my bottom. Even though most people get bridge augmentation with silicone, I was reluctant to use silicone. Due to my thin skin, bridge augmentation with rib was not recommended. Dr. Lee said I can still get a good result if I used dermis.
> Tip plasty - bulbous nose correction and donated rib cartilage.
> Osteotomy - to fix wide nose
> Functional rhinoplasty - septoplasty and turbinate surgery. I had a deviated septum and unilateral enlarged turbinate.

2nd consultation day: We had another discussion about silicone vs. dermis. Final decision was dermis. He was able to fit me in for surgery, the next day.

Surgery day: sleep sedation, ~4 hours surgery. Recovery for ~1 hour. Discharged on the same day, and escorted to the pharmacy and they rang a taxi for me to return to my accommodation.

Recovery period: Grace, frequently checks up on me my via Kakao. One of the highlights of this clinic because most clinics forget about you after the surgery.

Day O - 1: most difficult part of the recovery because you are recovering from the anesthesia and have nasal packing.
Day 2/3: check up, nasal packing removed. I was given IV infusion, as I was not eating enough. Recovery gets better after nasal packing is removed.
Day 4: check up (clean nose and area where they harvested the dermis), deswelling treatment
Day 6: cast removal. I had my cast removed Day 6 because I was flying out next day. I got a medical clearance certificate from Dr. Lee to permit me to fly the next day.

~ 2 weeks post surgery. No complications so far. And satisfied with the results - my nose is now more in harmony with my face. I still have some congestion, but I feel my breathing will be improved.

Thank you for your review and pictures. Your nose looks great! Hope your are recovering well. Please keep us updated !

I am considering BT for fc and nose revision, but the doctors seem very young? Does anyone knows how old they are and is there a way to find their resume ? Looking at their website, there isn't stated the year for when they graduated

Getting just 10% refund is so difficult already. They require me to remove all negative comments from Google and Purseforum.

I even got scolded by PurseForum admin for deleting my post.

I gave up already.
I think I'm in the same situation....what did you have to say/threaten in order to get your refund back?

I know I'm only day 14 but I think my vline surgery + liposuction is botched.....just look at the photo

Nose doctor seems mid 40s. They said he has 20 years experiences and ENT doctor.

~6 weeks post op update. By week 4, most of the major swelling is gone. Between wk 4 - now. I think the remaining swelling is gradually decreasing. No functional issues so far. The scar is barely noticeable. Grace has periodically checked on me (at week 4 and 6 - Dr Lee checked on my nose condition).

Looks nice! Congratulations!!
I didn't think of dermis, but it's very pretty and natural.
Can I ask how you are now with that?
