I know, that's why I said that there are some exceptions, your example being one of them. But those that I know who are quite wealthy actually not only pay those amounts in taxes but also donate that much money if not more to charities as well. And there is only a certain amount you can deduct from your taxes as a charitable donation, so it can't be said that they only donate for the tax write offs, since they rarely amount to much ($500 at most.) So it's not like ALL people who are "wealthy" are just sitting on piles of money accepting tax breaks, which is why I would hesitate to attribute LV's raising it's prices to this issue alone.

The SAs I spoke to at the LV in the mall today told me that the price increase was to be June 1st. Then they told me that the price of the Damier Speedy 30 was $720. Then they said oops, it's $585. Then they said oops, it may go up with the price increase. Oy.

Anyhow, they had one Damier Speedy there, and I have reserved it for June 1st, regardless of whether or not they increase the price.

Oh no! I am saving for my pochette cles for Jluy 4th!! and as many of u said, there was just a price increasing! I was tinking about the lagoon clutch, and they told me it was $680 (here in Mx LV is more expensive, dont ask me why...) and time after taht they said me $790!!!!!!

I´m really mad!! the worst think is that they know they´ll keep us buying no matter the prices, but Lv is so expensive like this? why they want to do it more!! if they keep on increasing prices, the will keep on loosing customers...

I´m serious if they keep on, I´ll get the perfo cles and I´m done. Anyway there´s nothing more I´m wantig (well, I want some things more but no ones that I can affor hehe...)

I´ll be done, at least the next season... Well i´ve seen arts from the winter and they are ugly, so I will have peace for a while... why Lv is so addictive!! yickes!!

Ok, so you are talking about a price increase of over $100???? not 20-40 like last time???
I am still saving for my speedy 25 and it may be another month or two before I am finished, this is a BIG purchase for me and if it goes up that much more I may not be able to buy it, that is ridiculous! :censor:

My SA told me it would range from $10-$30 depending on the piece..but I doubt over $100 unless it's a large luggage piece, trunk or something else that's already fairly pricey anyway.

Hey all,

I just got back from the Union Square shopping area in San Francisco. At Neiman Marcus, DH overheard a lady talking (she was walking around the LV area) to another lady about prices increasing on June 12. He didn't hear what brand they were talking about, but we are assuming they were talking about LV prices. This is because we went to the LV boutique across the street and an SA confirmed that prices would go up on June 12.

I'd been complaining at home about the possible price increase, wondering when it would happen here in SF, and it was so cute when DH came over to me as I was going through the sales tables full of bags at NM to tell me the info he had overhead :amuse: .

-- Also, just wanted to add that I can only confirm that the June 12 date is for the SF LV store.

:wondering Yikes...I buy once a year...and when you look at how many times it increases over a year, it seems more noticble than one price hike.

Well I guess I'd better get hopping on that graduation gift before it goes up any more. To damier or not to damier, that is the question!

Everyone is upset and so I think we should start complaining directly to LV. Send in emails and/or letters to LV Customer Service and tell them how unhappy they are making their loyal customers. It probably won't affect this June increase but maybe it will slow their rate of increases.

Its really BS increasing several times a year :yucky:
