I find it difficult to comprehend the rationale behind the £ to € pricing given UK is a market in such close proximity to the continent. International (non EU) shoppers may still claim VAT rebates, to offset the shortfall. So I doubt this would dampen their enthusiasm to shop in the UK. This pricing “strategy” seriously discourages UK locals to continue shopping at UK stores. Paris has much better stock availability and the difference in price could be enough to pay for that train ticket to Paris.

You’re absolutely right!
Paris is looking closer than ever. I do still have one or two harder to get wishlist items like Barenia which I’ll persist with locally, but otherwise a short hop makes plenty of sense for non-leather goods.

Thanks!

Whilst I'm local to London, I've moved my business to Poland where my parents live (and occasionally other European countries if I travel). The difference in K28 price which I'm after is around £1000 which pays for a business class flights there, nice hotel, dinner and I'm still able to buy a few twillies. Not to mention that I won't have to fight for Evelynes/Herbags/Constances etc. as they're not really yet appreciated there (example: mini Lindys were available there easily)

I travel to Paris Fairly regularly, but rarely have the time necessary to devote to full blown hermes expedition. Let’s face it - shopping Hermes takes time. I ve been aware of the price disparity for a while now , but continue to shop at my ‘local’ as I am not a big spender and convenience matters.

Hi there! Have you realized, that at least in online store you have to pay a bit more compare to the last year? I wanted to purchase some SLGs on 31th of December but it was too much going on so I came back to the website on 4th of January and with new Rooroos I’ve seen some price increases... I wonder if it’s the same of our dream bags...

Ya agree with you. I personally find London SAs to be much friendlier and the overall experience much more enjoyable than Paris, where I feel like I am constantly being evaluated. Disappointing about the price disparity but I find London stores really care about their local clientele and at these price points, I appreciate the warm service!

USA price increase has begun. Bags increased yesterday. Soon is woman’s ready to wear. End of February for shoes. Other departments as well but I didn’t get the specifics.
