Price Increase Update

I deliberate too much. There were several bag offers I declined the past year. Additionally, I should have been more assertive about my wishes. Problem is I was not sure what I wanted. So I feel I deserve what I get & a price increase is my prize!

You are not alone... I am kicking myself for declining some bags in the past 2 years, so I guess I deserve this prize too [emoji22]

My friend’s Kelly 28 Sellier Epsom was $10,400 and my Kelly 28 Togo (SO) was $9900.
Kelly Sellier was more expensive than Retourne. Kelly Chèvre Sellier is more expensive than Kelly Epsom Sellier for example.

That is exactly what I thought! Maybe my SA was confused? I asked twice. Did not want to press the matter after that. The amount increase for a Retourne would be huge!

I received a price update from my SA today -
The K28 Retourne is$11,300
K28 Epsom Sellier $10,700.
KP Swift $5800.
Constance 24 $10,300

Wow! A K28 retourne is now 11,300? My SA told me it was 10,300 USD for a K28 now, up from 9900 USD. Once again information coming out of H is confusing! She also said C24 was 10,300 USD as reported by your SA. KP in swift went up significantly too from 5400 to 5800... so sad how huge the price differentials are now between US and Europe.

The price my SA quoted twice for a K28 Retourne appears awfully high to me! The amount your SA told you is more realistic. I did not want to question a third time. All the other adjustments seem in line. Thinking about these increases, It has been several years since H raised prices. The average of the bags I questioned is about $400. While I prefer no increase, Hermès is an expensive luxury brand. If I have the funds to buy the bag, the higher prices seem on par & accept it as a part of the H culture.

Price differentials are a topic I'm not qualified to comprehend the reasoning.

I don’t mind the rising prices because honestly it increases the value of our bag collection but if the prices are too high in our part of the world and so much cheaper elsewhere I find myself wondering if I am the crazy one for shelling out 10k plus for a B25 (for example) when other parts of the world are buying the same exact bag for considerably lower. When I found out that the price difference between a mini roulis here in US and Paris is about 2600 USD now, I had to sit down and question the validity of even adding a mini roulis from my store. I do know one thing for certainty though. I am stuck on Hermes for good so if I ever buy bags it will be from Hermes, kicking or crying doesn’t matter [emoji28]... but my kicking and crying just increased in intensity with the price differential [emoji23]

I understand your feelings completely. Any thoughts about the increase possibly affecting countries where the demand is higher? There definitely is a price disparity. It would be interesting to understand why[emoji8][/QUOTE]

That is exactly why I didn’t purchase the mini roulis last year. But now wondering if I should’ve since they increased the prices.

You are so right my friend... we just need to be extra careful on what we add because at these insane prices a ‘maybe it will work in my life’ kind of bags have no place in my life for sure. Definitely increasing demand and strong economies have a huge role to play in the price differentials across the world but again you can milk a cash cow only that much before it stops being profitable [emoji28]

I am with you. The moment I saw the price increase on the roulis I felt I made a huge mistake in not getting the bag earlier! But again I had other bags on my priority list to get first! [emoji51]
