The only thing that makes us cheaper than Britain is your VAT, and when you put their price increase along with the increased VAT, you'll always be higher.
I bought a 35 cm togo birkin on Friday (see avatar, lol), and the price was $8300, before sales tax. Unless they hit the US with more than a 20% increase this summer, a 35 birkin in togo will still be under 10K.
(OMG...did I just write that like not quite 10K for a bag isn't so bad?!?) Sigh...
The dollar has actually been pretty stable against the Euro at about $1.55. They're raising prices because they'll be able to get away with it.
