Price Differences - USA vs. Canada

I have bought 2 cashmere sweaters on sale prices in Vancouver(30% off),and I found it's the same as the regular prices in the us.:sweatdrop:although the sales are really nice in Vancouver.

Prices in the US just went up this week. 90cm scarves went up $10. I don't know if Canada raised their prices. I'm speculating that the strong dollar may mean no price increase (could be completely delusional too) LOL. It is H after all!

Sorry in advance for asking this question as it perhaps has been asked before/elsewhere (and asked over and over)...

I recognize different leathers cost different prices but does anyone know the current 2010/2011 price of a 30 or 35 Birkin in Togo (if someone were lucky enough to come across one/order one....)? I know its in the double digits but I wanted to see how different the pricing is here in Canada vs. the US with all our tax. Thanks in advance.:D

In December, the Birkin 30 in Togo was $9225 plus tax.

I just got a evelyne III GM for CAD$2950 in Vancouver, and it's listed on Hermes USA for USD$2925. Maybe there's a price adjustment?

That would be refreshing! Now we just need them to offer online shopping....:wondering um, or maybe not considering what that would do to my bank account!

But I've never understood why Australia has an online site and Canada doesn't? Or at least let us order from the US site and ship.

I'm planning on going to canada next month hoping to score some H with not so much inflated prices compared to australia but from what i'm reading it doesn't seem like there is much difference. should i just go to the states and get what i want?

You also need to consider the sales taxes. Vancouver 12%, Calgary 5%, Toronto 13%, Montreal 5%+8.5%. Theses taxes are not refunded to visitors.

The last scarf I bought was $420 before tax, $475 after tax.

does seattle in the US have taxes on top of their prices as well because don't some states have no tax or lower tax than others?
