Aww I don't think that it's not that we can't be happy so much as we have too many options and choices! And we are left wondering what else could I have done and did versus what I have. Not necessarily a "grass is greener" mentality but a "what if" or in general the lingering "or" especially with big purchases.

Let us know how it goes! Hopefully the jeweler can work something out. I'm not familiar with the setting company so maybe they can accommodate. Did you pay a premium to have a setting made for this larger size center?

True, what if I picked the Swan... Just called the jeweler, he said he will get the 1 ct sample ring from Varna to compare first and then we will see what we can do. I paid $$$$ for the setting but at this point I would rather have what I like even though the 1 carat setting means less metal and less diamonds.

It's beautiful and you have beautiful hands for it but if you just can't like it then definitely talk to the jeweler to see what they can do for you to be happy. It's not that we can't be happy, it's just that we know what we want and there's nothing wrong with that. You need to be happy no matter what anyone else thinks. Yr hubs is wrong about it being too gaudy though :smile1:

Thanks Kate, your comment brightened me up :hugs:

Their love dungeon? Just kidding!!!:p
haha, lol =)

I like it, but it is most important for you to be happy. It reminds me (just a bit) of the Tiffany Schlumberger Bud Ring.
yeh, the rounded pave shank is a bit similar.

My own personal taste is that I find the shank too thick. I feel the stone gets lost in the setting. LOVE the gallery profile though (I have a thing for Lotus flowers!), but for aesthetic reasons, there's something about this that to me appears "off"

I adore thinner shanks, but not crazy thin, so I'm interested to hear whether they can adjust the gallery to accommodate your stone w/ the 1 carat setting

Look forward to hearing your update :smile1:

Contessa, exactly what I was thinking, just hope my stone will somehow fit in the 1ct setting :tender:

Look forward to hearing your update :smile1:

It looks beautiful on you!! Gorgeous ring!!!

Thanks!!

I think it's beautiful, but I'm confused... is it a RHR or a reset of your e-ring? Your alternative (the Swan) is even more like an e-ring... congratulations on your anniversary!

Thanks Nelmi, it's a RHR. I still have my e-ring and don't plan on changing it. Though since I went with an unconventional e-ring design, it probably looks more like a RHR than this one. Found an old picture, ring on top is my e-ring. And for my anniversary, since I am looking for a solitaire design, it is almost impossible to find something that doesn't look like an engagement ring. :smile1:

Love your wedding set!!! The thin shank of your ering is so elegant

Hi Whoops! Well, the jeweler finally got the 1 carat setting in their store so I am going to see him tomorrow. We will compare the two ring side by side to see what we can do. Will update soon.
