In desperate need of a new scarf esp. a GM I was browsing through all the pictures again and again,
hoping for a better result seeing them IRL, too. What happened to the times when we didn't know how many scarves we would actually get in the stores, which were on our long, long wishlists?

Come to Manchester - those times are still happening! Through no fault of the staff either; they place their orders for what they think will thrill the Mancunians and then wait and wait and wait for ( small) deliveries from Paris. I think I'm still waiting to see some of the SS 2011 that hasn't arrived yet. Not much better in London either.
These sorts of threads may take away the surprise element but they sure help craft a worthwhile wishlist. Hope you get a happy outcome to your search.

Not just Manchester and London. Glasgow really slow at getting new stock in. Been a couple of times I've given up waiting for something to be delivered there and tried elsewhere as seem to be months behind with most designs...having said that, not been there for a few months so might have improved now they have a larger floor space in Frasers to fill.

I thought I wouldn't like the new designs, but it turned out that I like most of those. Decisions, decisions!

Yes, there was no 2011SS stock - especially since the Mad Ave boutique kind of went into hibernation
They had nothing at the temporary hole in the wall store, and a vist a week ago showed half the scarf cases still MIA !
I heard that H had production problems esp with the inkjet-printed scarves but that is just a rumor
came to the wrong thread....the silk department started swallowing me few weeks ago, it's so hard to stop in just one colorway!!!!
I was at Madison Ave. a couple weeks ago and forgot to ask about Idees Imaginaires. The case was so empty that my neurons stopped firing and I went blank as well.
^ Alidoll, it is VERY difficult to get any information from Hermes anymore, prior to the items being in the store or on the website.
