Oh boy that's interesting! So the closure is just a magnet? Is it a magnetic snap? That would definitely be annoying. Thanks for the heads up! The reason why I'm so drawn to the Miss Sicily is partly because you don't see too many people with that bag. The Prada is a bit more common but still not common enough to be a turn off lol.

I agree. The Miss Sicily is not as common as the Prada now.

Both are very beautiful bags. I am leaning toward the Dolce Gabbana Miss Sicily bag because of the extraordinary silhouette, the unique hardware for strap attachment - really like that they designed and created the hardware for this particular shape. The cool way it sits (think vintage Willis bag - )not to compare it to Coach or Henri Beguelin...but the top bar (dowel) bags just sit sooo nice on the body when worn cross body - retro chic. it can be worn cross body and still look so ladylike. Love the Prada as well: ladylike, highest quality,classic and forever...just the D&G is unique and you "see" that special silhouette right away, it's recognizable, but not screaming the name...reverse status....

I had the same dilemma, but every second person carries the Prada in London so I will be going for the Miss Sicily. It's a gorgeous, timeless bag and not common. Only problem I'm having now is whether to go for the calfskin or deerskin! :thinkin:

Thanks for chiming in, everyone! I'm still torn between the two. I think both are gorgeous (obviously) and now I'm leaning towards trying to get both! When in doubt, get both lol. I think I'll wait a bit and see if the Dolce & Gabba store opens up here finally and then I'll check out the Miss Sicily in person before I make a final decision.

And I agree that the Prada bag is more office/business like than the Miss Sicily. So I could potentially justify both...one for work and one for everyday/play :D

I personally love the Prada Saffiano but I would urge you to get the Givenchy. I am also from Toronto and I see the Saffiano EVERYWHERE. I think the Givenchy makes you a bit more special. =)

Sorry, I just noticed this comment as I haven't checked this thread in forever lol. The closure is a magnetic snap, but still annoying nonetheless.
