Honestly, I don't believe in the waitlist system and it is subjected to how well connected you are with that store.

Yes I agree with you on that!

I'm afraid I would have gotten upset, and asked for an explanation as to why my standing on the list had been DEMOTED!!

It happens... I've been bumped down on the wait list twice now and was completely bumped off the wait list a few times as well (a couple of years ago). It does help if you stick to one SA and build a relationship with him/her, plus I try to stop by my local LV store at least once every 2 - 3 weeks or so, even if it's just to say "hi" to my SA & Managers and also to chit chat about the upcoming collections and items.

I'm sure it's possible. LV SAs probably want to keep their VIP customers happy because they spend so much. I hope you still get your bag!

I couldn't agree more, it's ridiculous, if you were #10 you should still be #10 not #15 of 17 possible bags. That's just unfair. I would want to say something but at the same time I'd be nervous it would jeopardize getting the bag.

If you give them your CC number, that will help. You also need to build a relationship with an SA and the leather goods manager. The leather goods manager is the one in charge of the waiting list.

So sorry to hear you got bumped down...hope you get the bag in the end! It's definitely unfair but unfortunately as we all know life can be very unfair...As of late I've been waitlisting at two stores to get the things I want and I was told at one that if they only get ONE vvn speedy it will be mine! I've never given my CC details over but maybe I should think about doing this just in case.

So I'm really starting to think that the store I waitlisted on probably won't call me if they keep bumping me down so I put myself on another store waitlist.... I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best!

I COMPLETELY agree. It's silly. We're already paying a ton of money for these bags, we shouldn't have to jump through hoops or forge lifelond bonds with an SA to make sure we're able to get a bag. I don't get it, shouldn't they be the ones jumping through hoops since we're the PAYING customers?
