Costco has been busted selling fakes before so it's not out of the realm of possibility.

A federal judge on Monday said Tiffany & Co may recover at least $19.4 million in damages from Costco Wholesale Corp over the warehouse club chain's illegal sale of counterfeit diamond engagement rings bearing the “Tiffany” name.

NEW YORK -- Calvin Klein Jeanswear Co., a division of Designer Holdings Ltd., sued discount retailer Price/Costco Inc. for allegedly selling counterfeit Calvin Klein merchandise.
This suit wasn't about fake diamonds or gold, but rather using the descriptive"Tiffany Setting" for a non-Tiffany brand real diamond ring. A bit different context.

Is it legal to sell counterfeit bags in China? I am asking because someone posted here https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...t-is-the-question.992865/page-7#post-33282632 that it is legal in ‘their’ country.
It is indeed illegal to sell counterfeit bags in China. It is even a criminal offense if the sales revenue is over £5000 (roughly).

That is the law..But it does not mean that is how the real world works. There are just so many fake bags out there and so many selling channels.

Yes, I saw it in the news. I think they are authentic because of the listening price and lack of choices. There are plenty of resellers that may offer authentic Bs, and not necessarily H itself is selling them.
The news also mentioned that the Costco offers unconditional return policy. So if the buyer finds out that the B is fake, he/she can return it.
Does it make Bs less desirable for those of you who are dancing and playing and building a “relationship “ with a salesperson in order to get a B? I guess so...
Does that Costco have anyone in house qualified to authenticate the Birkins? In the US, stores selling high end designer bags with return policies (full credit back to your credit card and not just a store credit) have to deal with some customers buying a genuine bag and then trying to return a super fake for a full refund. So if someone bought one of those Birkins would anyone at Costco be able to tell if what was being returned was real or fake?

Thank you for the clarification. The number of Chinese tourists I see in London carrying fakes, assumed it was legal to buy them.

They could hire someone in-house or get an external expert to do it.
