If bag won't hold extra ammo & some snacks, not worth my time.

:roflmfao:
Did this man ever see a woman wallop some carpark creepy with her mulb bayswater double zip tote?
Wait...guess he'd need to be following me around...

You write the most intriguing posts! It's like I want to ask for more details but I don't know if I dare

3) i heard two quotes many years ago (one from a man) who said he judged women to date based on the size of their handbag. a big bag = low self-esteem and/or high maintenance b/c she needs an arsenal of stuff to feel good about herself. the other quote from Judith Leiber who said that there is no need for a woman to carry their life in their bag, which is why she designed small bags for women.
I'm a small bag fan and wow to his comment...I just can't.

Also, I was a bit taken aback by the second quote, so did some research on it. It makes sense given everything she went through, where she may have in fact needed to carry her life in a bag, for her bags to be the opposite. They're celebrations of liberation.

only small/mini, has always been that way since my teens. 1) i just don't need to feel prepared every second. why carry nonsense and weigh myself down, no need to be mcgyver and have something for every 'what if.' 2) small bags take up less room everywhere you go and just weigh less on the shoulder/arm 3) i heard two quotes many years ago (one from a man) who said he judged women to date based on the size of their handbag. a big bag = low self-esteem and/or high maintenance b/c she needs an arsenal of stuff to feel good about herself. the other quote from Judith Leiber who said that there is no need for a woman to carry their life in their bag, which is why she designed small bags for women. 4) mother's influence, she never carried large bags and i guess i followed her example and instruction somehow
This man you speak of probably didn't know any women who actually work or more probably he really really liked you  (laughing at the guy not you!) as you wrote in your following post that you were carrying a small bag at the time :flowers:

Mostly medium, but it depends totally on the occasion and/or my mood. I own mini size bags and I own huge ones; which one ends up being the flavor of the day, is up to what I need. For work, M/L but mostly I go for small bags on my free time. I do have a habit of carrying a bigger bag I really need on occasion - sometimes I just feel like it.
Tomorrow is going to be backpack+ Mulberry Ledbury day since I will be traveling straight after work. I could easily fit my things into a weekender but chose to carry 2 bags instead because a dinner with MIL is on schedule for Sunday and I don't want to lug a huge bag with me to the restaurant.

I prefer small bags...always have ever since my college years. My necessities are phone, six-ring key holder, card case (holds id, debit, gas card, credit card), key pouch (used for customer rewards cards), and whatever lipstick I am wearing that day. As long as my bag fits these items then I am happy. No point in a big bag as I would use only a fraction of the space. I do have a couple bigger bags (Alexander Wang Rockie, and Balenciaga Slim Hobo for carrying laptop, etc) that I use on certain occasions when I do need to carry a bit more but honestly they don't see much use. I have a couple really big bags for travel but they are strictly that...travel bags. My mother is the one who turned me off big bags. Growing up, she always carried huge bags and could NEVER find anything. She wasted so much time digging through her bags and she carried so much junk that she never really needed. So she is responsible for my dislike of carrying larger bags

I prefer small bags. I recently got rid of all of my large leather bags, except two, for when I want a change from my nylon totes to lug around extra items when necessary. I carry a lot less than I used to.

Medium. To me anything around 25cm base is medium. I do not mind large although large can be heavy.
I used to carry small to very small bags (mini box celine for example) and I do not touch up my makeup so I carry very little. However now I commute and I have to bring along my reading glasses so I need a bigger bag. Cannot squish my readers, those lenses are expensive!

Small and medium. I have tried to wear big bags and I am not able to they just over power me. It looks as though the bag is wearing me. So after some costly mistakes I have learned my lesson and buy medium and small bags. Fortunately the bag maker I get most of my bags from in Italy normally makes a large and midi bag in the same style. Which means I get the style at want at the right size for me. Also all the bags are bespoke and hand made so I am able to make changes to my liking which I love. The brand is Massaccesi and I must say once you have bought a handmade Italian leather handbag it is hard to buy anything else.
