Pochette Metis *Empreinte* Quality Issues?

Sorry, but from interpreting the context of your first post, it’s just odd that one purchases a $2300 item 2 years ago and never uses it. Then, 2 years later, meticulously inspects it to look for defects (that don’t exist) to then have LV “inspect“ it. Personally, I would be thrilled if LV got a 2 year old bag off my hands that I neved used and gave a full credit, so good luck? As far as the other pieces, if they are on a recall list, I totally get that. Now that you clarified and gave more detail into how those pieces fit into the equation, it all makes more sense.
Hi! I'm new here and wanted to chime in because I have a quality issue with my bag. I have an almost 3-month old Pochette Metis Empreinte in Marine Rouge. I love this bag and I baby it. I don't use it everyday only 2-3 weeks total since I bought it because I rotate my bags and I never pack it full. Just last week I noticed the portion where the clasps of the strap hits the leather started peeling. I've researched about this bag and looked at videos of wear and tear and never came across this issue for this bag so I'm quite shocked that this happened. I'm not sure if this is common with empreinte. We bought the bag in another country but hoping that the LV store where I'm from can help.
Have an marine rouge too but didn't have this problem... Do bring it in to LV and see what they say !
I had a noir PM for about 2 years. I didn't use it too often and had experienced the cracked glazing and a popped stitch near the back zipper area. I was first told that I would need to pay for repairs and then it was later determined to be defedctive and I received a store credit. My bag became a noir speedy. Interestingly enough, this happened almost a year ago and I have yet to use it. At first I didn't use it since it was a little dark for summer. And then I didn't want to take it to the cigar bar to absorb the smell, and now I don't go anywhere due to the pandemic so I get how bags can be underutilized.
Hi everyone. I got a gorgeous turtledove pochette metis in late October/early November. I'm working from home, not going too many places, and I do rotate my bags out pretty often, although this has been my go-to bag. I just noticed last night that one side of the glazing is cracking. I'm very careful with my bags, especially this one. I know it was an issue with the canvas and I'm careful to not even open the flap all the way. Trying not to be too picky because I know someone will let me have it. Go easy on me. Lol. I paid $2,420 before taxes just a few months ago and didn't think this whole happen! Do you think I should take it in? Nearest store is about 1.5 to 2 hours so I wanted to get your opinions. I love this bag and this color, so I'm pretty bummed. 
Oh no. If it bothers you I would take it in. Particularly if you have been so careful with it, it will only get worse? Sadly I just purchased this same bag from the LV store and when I got home I noticed part of the date code is missing. I’m wondering if I should just return the bag and get something else.
This is such a great bag. I love it. I'm so disappointed and want to see from others if they've had this problem and if I should try to get another? I will remember to look at the date code if she offers me another!
I think these cracks will happen in the glazing where the leather bends. I don’t think the leather is cracking. I bet the only thing that can fix this would just to reglaze it. I have this happen to my lockme wallet, but it’s also a black wallet, so it’s not as obvious. Doesn’t hurt to send photos to the SA for expert opinion.
Wow! Definitely take that in! I've been considering the turtledove. I'm shocked because my empreinte noir PM has held up incredibly with daily use.

Update: Took my turtledove PM in to the store today. They didn't say much. They snapped some pictures and said they would send an email and get back to me once it's evaluated.
