I received my Eva on Friday. I have never held an original Eva in my hands so I can't compare, but this new version is very soft / thin canvas. It doesn't stand on it's own but not sure if the original does. Mine is wavy too, but I don't think it can be avoided with the softness of the canvas. I've wanted her for so long, so I'll keep her.View attachment 6191333
The original EVA does not stand on its own due to the round bottom. I lay EVA on her back. Yes, thin canvas and mine had some wavy, but once filled with items it goes away. I also keep them stuffed during storage. All three of my original EVA's still look amazing and have been well used

Beautiful! That’s what I came to realize as well with the softness and thin canvas. I decided to keep her as well. I wonder did anyone notice that it is treated vachetta (vachetta is not light) which is a good thing as well.

Beautiful Piece but the canvas is not right.. It’s puff on the top on both sides and then where the puff is, it goes down into like a crease..it reminds me of Twinmom1223 and atlcoach previous post. I am returning it..
Update: I came to realize that this beauty is made with softness and thin canvas. I decided to keep her as well. I wonder did anyone notice that it’s treated vachetta (correct me if I am wrong but the vachetta is not light) which is a good thing as well.

I have seen the eva in store but had to had it re-ordered as i noticed that the canvas looked "dry". There were still remnants of glue on the canvas at the back. Hopefully the new stock will be better.
Is there a way to find out where the bag was made? The one they have in store was made in US (as per the SA).

Sorry to hear that! All the ones I seen are made in US including mines. It will say on the inside Tag if it was made in France, Italy or Spain. I wonder if the first stock was/is made in US like the High Rise Bumbag.

The trend I saw with original Eva's were made in France then made in USA, and it was very hard to gret one MIF once they started making them in USA.
