Apologies, I don’t recall the context of the suggestion (im just tired lol)

Do you mean something like this:

I will be a guest for a non black tie Indian wedding in Hawaii later this year and was trying to figure out outfits (with an H bag)
One casual for the night before and one more dressy. Would welcome any feedback (like if one is seriously off the mark

Hermes so Kelly elan and MKII (relatively small and casual bc of the rest of the trip)

Chanel microsequin pink pants and vest; Oscar de la renta black and gold dress;
vintage from my own closet: ungar lavender wrap top and Issy miyake skirt; Anne Fontaine ruffled top
Dior tulle skirt

1 and 2  me

But you look always stunning how you are

You look great in all of them! but my favorites are the Chanel micro sequin pink set for the casual night and the Oscar de la Renta for dressy!

1 and 2 are my top picks… although i remember hearing somewhere that it’s not advisable to wear black to an Indian wedding…. but then again you mentioned “black tie event”…. so maybe ok for this one

Thank you @Prada Prince , @miss mitzi , @Bereal , @Veritybelle , @rumes ; @Gin&H , @Lady_P , and @JavaJo

@JavaJo , you are right. I asked an Indian friend re the rules re black (Oscar) and pink (is the pink too close to red) pants and vest (and will check with the groom — DH is his mentor — to clarify

@Veritybelle , probably will wear same sandals… I don’t know if part of the ceremony is on the beach or not, snd this is part of a longer trip, so I’m trying to find shoes that are festive but neutral lol

ETA: DH will be wearing a navy Dior MtM suit (crossover jacket closure called the oblique) bc the bride originally wanted black tie and the groom got a compromise (men’s suits, but dressy ones, not work suits). To make it beach, I suggested H chypres. But don’t think he will agree lol.

re the black and red prohibition, I found another option: a colorful top that can work with the long skirt for the night before. With a tiny H belt  if black is deemed inappropriate, I have a sleeveless navy Dior jacket that I can wear with the Dior tulle and a MKII, but not as festive. So, my first choices are the ones you guys already picked. Thabk you all !

I would pick #3 for the casual night before outfit, and either 2 or 4 for the dressier outfit. Have so much fun at the wedding!!

Hey everyone! So, my mom gave me one of her old bags today—a Jypsiere 31—and I have no idea how to wear it. Normally, I can figure out how to style my bags, but this one has me totally stumped... lol. Big crossbody bags just aren't my thing—I usually go for shoulder or top-handle styles. But who am I to say no to Hermès, right? 🤣

Any tips on how to rock this style of crossbody bag ? Also excuse the hotel slippers 🤣..... I am recovering from a foot injury and these are the only things that can fit my swollen toes in at the moment...

It looks good on you. The larger bag works well against your petite frame IMO. Your shoulder are the widest point which is great for a larger, more casual bag. You can wear it either way. It was supposed to be worn cross-body, messenger style, but just on the shoulder looks good too.

The colour can be worn with all kinds of other neutrals and brights (including white) - so your mother chose really well. You will look very coordinated in slightly muted mid-shades, but you can also look very cool this summer in lighter neutrals including greys, beiges, griege/taupes, light blues, creams, off-white, ecru and denims.

Even what you're wearing looks fine, a simple short-ish shirt-dress (or long shirt), sweater dress or simple Modern shift will look super.

You can keep it casual, even oversized, in separates, but keep fabric draped close to the body (not stiff and boxy). Even better, you can go close on top or bottom, the idea is to make the bigger bag part of the statement but not overwhelm you.

If you want to wear it a bit more formally (ladylike), go for a bias-cut midi/maxi or stretch column dress of any length. Just keep it simple and streamlined.

Oh that Oscar de la Renta dress is stunning! You must bring that…
Really love the tulle skirt, as well as all of the outfits but those are my top 2 picks

You look beautiful in all of them, but I think the ungar lavender wrap top / Issy miyake skirt for the casual, and
Oscar de la renta black and gold dress for the dressy.
