My first inclination was number one but the more I looked at it I think it looks the best on it's own. I think the second looks better with your engagement ring.

Without having read the responses, I voted for #2, the jazz band. Why?
1. It goes best with your Ering. Most pleasing combo.
2. The ring looks good as a stand alone band.
3. The diamonds are larger than those in #1. I love larger diamonds, because they are worth more.
4. In terms of function and durability, #1, although attractive at first glance, may have a problem. While you can put the Jazz bands and your Ering in an ultrasonic bath for cleaning, you cannot do the same for the pave band. The teeny, tiny Diamond specks may fall off. It will be very hard to fix the fallen melees, and there is no guarantee that they may not fall off again. Another problem with three-sided pave band is that it will scratch and/or slowly eat adjacent bands, whether they are metal, Diamond, or semi-precious stones. The Jazz bands, on the other hand, have diamonds that are safely bezeled and thus protected from damage when stacking with other rings.

Lastly, #3 would be a no no for me, because of proportion problem.

I like the second one. Have you tried on Tiffany's shared prong band?

A shared prong ring with diamonds going all around the entire band will be my first, first choice. I like eternity ring with same size diamonds that have very little metal around them.

The link shows a partial eternity ring. I prefer a full eternity ring, although you need to worry about the diamonds underside. Still, I think the melees are small enough that contact with hard surface is minimal.

Thanks for your opinion! So does that mean with the pave diamond my engagement ring band will scratch more easily?

One would guess so. Diamonds are harder then gold or platinum, so they will scratch the adjacent metal band when both rings rub against each other.

From the profile shown in your photo, it looks like the pave band is low/thin enough that it sits below the prongs, so your prongs (most vulnerable) are safe. Over time, there will be scratches on the surface of you Ering shank, but there should not be a serious structural problem. The situation will be very different if the pave band sits high enough to rub against the prongs.
