Please help me - tag question

Hello!

I wonder if you can help me ladies!
I have a question regarding the tags. I searched a little bit here, and I found the thread about how to read a balenciaga tag. I understand that the numbers state the year, the leather etc.
Maybe it sounds silly, but I'm wondering: For example do all the city bags, produced in the same year, having the same colour, with the same features have a tag with exactly the same numbers? Or does something have to be different from bag to bag?

^^ The serial number should be different from bag to bag for the City silver plate. From what I understand, that number is unique to each bag.
