Well by design, yes, because rounds are cut in a manner than when well cut they outsparkle other shapes. Radiants are often cut for size, shape and color retention vs sparkle.

I don't want a thinner ring. I always pictured a big significant wedding band I don't know anymore . 80% of people I asked said round... but I get a feeling it's because it looks like they supposed to go together, same exact styles... but I like the uniqueness of the radiant cut, it's feels and looks more substantial and expensive.

I don't care for number 2, it looks so typical, the other is so much more elegant and doesn't detract from your center stone all.

I really like #2 but think you should get #1 because you like it more - not that you don't like the brilliant cut but if you're going to get another one at some point in time then get the one you don't quite like as much then because you aren't going to miss it as much in the interim.

That said, the brilliant one should sparkle more and does look like it sparkles more. Not that you need more sparkle with that e-ring!
