Espadrilles Worth It?
Are espadrilles worth it, regardless of the brand (e.g. Chanel, YSL, Dior, Gucci etc.)? I have been considering in purchasing a pair of espadrilles from YSL. However, given its price tag I am not sure if I should splurge as I live in a city that rains a lot. Maybe they are not practical in my...forum.purseblog.com

The black version in 90/CSGM is pretty, and I see it occasionally, so that might be what I end up going for eventually.

Hi H lovers, I’d love to see if any of you have recommendations on any personal shopper who can help me get a Gold mini Roulis with gold hw directly from H store (I’m in the U.S.). I do see quite a few personal shoppers on IG and pretty much all do worldwide shipping but I don’t know who’s legit and trustworthy…
I’m fairly new to H bags, and I’m only interested in a couple of non-quota bags but I found that it’s basically impossible to buy even non-quota bags when you aren’t a big spender and have no relationship with any SA. And of course, I can never get their bags on their website either…
Previously I got my first non-quota bag (a Halzan 25) from FP and overall the experience was alright. But this time I want to try get a brand new mini Roulis from H boutique instead of the preowned route. Anyway, I’d appreciate any info or guidance! Thanks!

There is a thread here about resellers but I’m loathe to give them business. A Roulis really shouldn’t be that difficult to get from the store, it’s just a matter of having that exact combo in stock, and it’s a combo that I haven’t seen available in a while. (In fact I feel like all Roulis have been on the back burner for a while as we don’t see many of them revealed or offered these days. Hermes tends to cycle through product manufacturing in their own mysterious way.) My suggestion is just to try the store yourself. If there are any other Hermes items you are interested in (a scarf, pair of Orans, clic bracelet, whatever) go into the store, be polite, shop for the other item and ask about the Roulis. Hopefully the SA will see your sincerity and keep you in mind the next time one arrives at the store. At the end of the day, this probably won’t be the last H bag you want so starting a relationship directly with the boutique now will likely pay dividends.
I already tried H stores. But again, I am not interested in buying other items just to be able to somehow get one non-quota bag (I do buy H scarves but I am also picky about what I buy so I don't buy a lot). I want one bag, but basically don't want to play the whole H journey game...That's why I wanted to ask about personal shopper. I also think there is a difference between personal shopper vs. reseller. I want to try a PS to buy for me directly from a boutique, not buying from a reseller. I also don't want to buy from ebay etc.
Did you call US customer service and ask? If you're not picky about leather, this should not be too hard to find.
My understanding of “personal shoppers” in the H world is that they are just people who will scour the resale world for you to find your spec on the shelf of one of the resellers from their network. Then you pay double the fee (theirs and the original source’s). Maybe I’m naive but I would find anyone who claims they can get any spec first hand from an H store on demand highly suspect. They’d have to have a unicorn relationship with a unicorn store that always has every version of every item readily available. I don’t think such a thing exists (and a good hint is usually when there is no 100 page long tpf thread on a topic, that topic isn’t a thing.)
