Congrats !!!
I’m still torn between the b 25 vs 30
I carry very little but not sure how much the small handle drop would bother me
I'm 5ft 2" and carry very little when I'm out. In terms of capacity and proportion, I find B25 suits me better. However, I do prefer the longer handle drop and extra space in a B30 at times to slip in a jacket or extra shopping. I've attached 2 pic side by side for comparison. GridArt_20231210_081231002.jpg

Beautiful! You have two of the most classic colors! I think the solution is having one of each haha

If you do a lot of eating at a bar or omakase tables, a birkin 30 is a bad choice because often times it doesn’t fit on the back of the stool or on the hooks under the table. For that reason, I prefer the b25 for evening use. I am also 5’7 and although I think the b30 looks more proportional on me, I use it less because it is too big for most cramped Manhattan restaurants

Actually, I recently tried to wear my b30 more and the hostess actually came up to me during the meal and took my bag away because it was too big. She put it by the reservation desk at the restaurant entrance and my husband kept reassuring me that no one is looking to steal my “large ugly orange tote bag.” :D

I carry my B25 to dinner quite often when I’m out with my family - they know that mummy will carry extras of everything plus carry their phones too in the birkin 25 hahaha. I really find that b25 fits a tremendous lot of stuffs and still appropriate for a nice dinner out with family or friends. If the seats are tiny I can also fit it behind me.

I think both look good. Agree that it’s about functionality. I have two 30’s and always thought a 25 would be too small on me. I’m 5’6”. Just got a 25 and I love the size. Very easy to use day and night. 30 is a bit big for evening use- more of a day tote bag, IMO.

Sigh, my SA just recently asked me which bag I'd like next, another B25 in Noir PHW, or something else. I told her since I already have a B25 Gris Meyer PHW, I'll go with the B30 this time. I don't know know if I'll regret it because the B25 is already very spacey for me. (I can fit all my essentials into my MKII) Also, the B30 is so freaking heavy by itself and I'd be scared to carry anything inside. But, that's the "standard size" and I feel that I should have one. FOMO, I guess. Do I really need another B25? Probably not. I have decided that my next bag will be a Birkin and my collection will be pretty much complete.

Any input/ criticism would be appreciated.
For reference, I'm 5'6 and 123 lbs.

It's tough but I think you are better off another B25 because it doesn't sound like you will have much use for a B30... I have debated on getting a B30 as well (and have tried it on at TRR) but ultimately think the use case is just so limited (for my lifestyle) because I won't use it for work (too flashy) and carry very little in general for daily life. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks. I'm strongly leaning towards another B25 in Noir (which was my first choice anyway but I was offered my 2nd choice of Gris Meyer). I guess the heart still wants what it wants. :giggle:

Try to let go of the FOMO and choose the bag that is right for you. It's a large amount of money to spend on a bag just because you think you "should". :flowers:

I find gris meyer pretty different from noir so I would stick to b25 noir. b30 might be perfect for others but YOU don’t seem to have a need or be excited about it.

We are the same height. My first two Birkins were 30s and I always thought that the 25 would be too tiny and not really practical for every day use. I don’t carry much but I also like having the option of carrying it on my wrist which is a challenge with a 25 as I have rather large hands and it’s a struggle to get that on. I really think it’s a matter of lifestyle and how you’re planning on using the bag. I don’t think there’s a wrong choice here. However, I do think that the larger the bag, the less it can become a day tonight option. I have one 25 and two 30s and I know I will not be getting any more Birkins as I feel I’m at peace with what I have.
Good luck deciding!

Thank you for the input. The B25 fits on my wrist with a little wiggling due to my bulky smartwatch, so that isn't an issue. I've also realized that I prefer hand carrying over shoulder straps and it's the most evident when I use my Bolide 1923 25.

You're right. Come to think of it, I don't really want it.

It makes sense to get the one that suits me now instead of thinking about all the other "what ifs". However, my taste has been known to change drastically over time, so I initially wanted to keep my options open. And you're so right about it being a large amount of money. Taking that into consideration, I should definitely get the B25 next since the B30 costs significantly less from the resale market. I can always buy a B30 outside if I ever feel the need for one in the future.
