Just a little update: I've been very good and have been VERY patient...until the last couple of days LOL!! It's been 5 weeks today since my original e-ring was sent off to NYC to be re-set into the Embrace setting:love: They told me I'd have my new ring in 6 wks. I called my Tiffany store manager to get an update on Wednesday but haven't heard back. I'm pretty sure it's not going to be ready by Christmas and I'm pretty bummed because my fiance and I are going away on vacation soon and I really didn't want to be ring-less for the holidays

Definitely call again. I don't believe there's no one in charge their aside from the Manager. SOMEONE must know or be able to tell you about your ring.

Tasha, I had the same problem with my e-ring too. Granted, my setting had to be rebuilt for size (side stones)... They gave my FI an about 6 week deadline and made it by only a few days.

Trust me though, when you see your securely and perfectly set diamond... You will quickly forget how long the wait was!

So.....the saga continues. I got a voicemail from my Tiffany store this morning saying my new Embrace ring is ready to be picked up and I was SO excited I almost passed out. On my way to work I had a bad feeling and decided to call customer service at my store to make sure they had done everything correctly and boy they DID NOT.:oh::cry: My new Embrace e-ring is there (at work so I haven't seen it yet) BUT they forgot to write on the work order 6 weeks ago that my original bezet setting/band was to be sent back to my Tiffany store with my new e-ring, so they could have it made into a plain platinum wedding band for me. They PROMISED me this whole situation would be made "right" and that it was no problem to get all original pieces of my original ring back, original stone in new Embrace setting and original platinum setting made into a plain bezet band. I'm very sentimental and they understood how important it was for me to have all original pieces and they said several times it wouldn't be a problem. So now they're saying NYC didn't return the original setting and they don't think they'd still have it and "if they can find it, it would take a really really long time to get it shipped in from NYC." I cannot believe this!!!!!!!!! I am SO UPSET I've been crying in my office like a baby :crybaby: To have the original setting was equally important to me as it was to have my original diamond... I don't know what to do now???

That sucks! Unfortunately this sounds pretty expected to me, because I don't really trust that company. But I will say this, I don't know what they promised specifically, but there's no way they were going to melt down your original and recast it. No jeweler could do that, platinum can't just be reused, it has to be re-refined. They would've probably removed the bezel head off the ring and repair that spot of the band. So here's hoping they can do that and find the original.

And for the record: if they want to fix this, it can be overnighted from NYC. Unless you are in another country besides the US/Canada anyway.

I'm so sorry!! The good news is that I've had Tiffany loose something of mine and then find it again (I know because it was engraved). So keep a good thought and DON'T let this ruin the joy of your new embrace! Hopefully the sparkle will knock you out!

Thank you for the info, Ame!:smile1: That's what they were going to do -remove the bezel head and repair that spot. My original e-ring was too big as well, so they were going to size it and fix that spot. I live in Canada, so they should definitely be able to get the original setting back to me asap -no idea why the CS person told me it would take a really long time (what does that even mean!?). I'm anxious about picking up the Embrace now but have my fingers crossed. I can't get there until 8:30 pm tonight, so it's going to be a long day!
