Can anyone help me find the colour of this Mini Evelyne? I missed the drop and now it doesn’t tell me the colour. The product reference is H069426CKEB. I thought it was New Blue Jean, but that colour code is D2, not EK

You are correct, it is New Bleu Jean. ;) Sometimes, colour codes are omitted when there is only one colour available in stock.

I'd say that you can argue the “color code” is EB (always the last two digits). CK is the hardware code (PHW).

It seems to me that H uses color codes such as EB as “compound color codes”. They start at AA, then AB, AC…BA, BB… you get the idea. You tend to see these not as a single color code but used on items with multiple colors. For example Rodeos. They don’t correspond to a single color code because they are like a color “combo” or “scheme” (for a particular style). So you find these in the product codes for bags with multiple colors (e.g. verso bags, 24/24s and Herbags with different colors in different parts of the bag, and so on).

In the case of this Evie, it’s technically “New Bleu Jean/New Bleu Jean” (a combo of the bag color and strap color) even though H did code some Evelynes the actual (single) color code when it's the same color for bag and strap (H069426CK89 for example is the Noir one).

Meanwhile if you alter those last two digits and search around, you will find other examples: H069426CKAL is "AL" which was "Bleu Agate/Cuivre" https://forum.purseblog.com/threads/post-web-hermes-finds.847812/page-772#post-31335483, whereas "AM" from H069426CKAM was "Cuivre/Cuivre" (https://www.hermes.com/au/en/product/evelyne-16-amazone-bag-H069426CKAM/) even though Cuivre itself is 6C.

Wow!!! Thank you so much for this information! I feel mind blown now I fully understand their product reference system LOL. I really appreciate the knowledge

I actually keep a running inventory of online drops of bags/other hard to get products from my country. I wonder why I have a Mini Evelyne in Noir PHW as H069426CKAV, when you have it as H069426CK89. Is it possible that there are two product references for the exact same item? That doesn't seem like it would make any sense, but then again its Hermes... does anything 🤣

Yes apparently they do. In my experience when they change to a new one - maybe moving to the new scheme - they will continue to use the new one going forwards (unless they change again I guess). I am forgetting the details but I think I remember this happening in jewelry too.

Ohh that makes sense, thank you!

Np! Although now I think about it, the TPM Evelynes may have always been using the combo code (they are “Amazone” which indicates the fact that the strap can be different) - whereas larger Evelynes have been using the single color code and was why I was thinking I’ve seen Evelynes with the correct single color codes.

Oh thats good to know. Do you know how H shoe product references work? That kinda confuses me as theres 2 parts that are spirited by a space.

After the space is color then size.

For example: OranCode ColorSize
Still kind of confusing because the OranCode can vary by season and by leather, but in shoes noir is typically 01 so black orans in size 37.5 would be: H021056Z 01375
Regardless, as is Hermes’ common theme; consistency is unassured.

 yep what acrowcounted has said!

And as was pointed out, don’t expect the color code for shoes to be the same as that for leather. Etoupe for example is often X3? I think? In shoes versus the 18 for leather. In fact sometimes the shoes color won’t even be similar to the color of the same name in leather goods…

(Aside: fashion jewelry, on the other hand, does use the same color code as leather. Just more Hermes being Hermes I guess!)

Etoupe is fun because it also changes to DK in RTW
