I really like the look of balenciaga bags. I have been looking through the pictures thread but some of the bags are not listed as to what bag they are. So I figured I would just put ou my specs and hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I want a;
smaller balenciaga, around 15 by 15 inches.
Option of handheld and shoulder strap.

Can someone give me the name of a bag fitting this description?

Also where do you buy them new?

It sounds like the city is the closest to your description. That's the most popular and classic of the Balenciaga styles, too. You can purchase them at Balenciaga NY (exchange only policy), aloharag, and Barneys. In the U.S. anyway.

i'm just getting started on a bbag obsession, too, and the atelier site is essential reading. there's an especially good section on how to spot fakes - good if you're hunting on ebay - and if you're into the reds like me, there's a great comparison of the red shades.

happy hunting! this is going to be very expensive, but oh so fun...
