I just want to ask again-would you consider those little blemishes(faint scratches) on the Legacy leather to be "normal"? A couple of the SA's in the outlet assured me that most bags have a few.
The Ali I purchased in whiskey was described as having some deep scratches but I rubbed them out (ew sounds like a scene from American Pie) and have since gotten a few of my own. I like how they add character to the bag. Its what make the legacy leather unique.
Anyway, that's my story. Thanks for listening.![]()
Surface scuffing is normal, deep gouges, obvious cuts into the leather would not be normal to me, obviously used and not new. Here I go again . . . I rub the scuffs off my brown (vintage) Ali with Appleguard. I don't mind the character/aging thing, but some scuffs look like they hurt!![]()
I'll say it again, Lucky!
Great thread, I, too, love bag buying stories especially when they have such excellent endings.
handbag helen, you're funnyJerry Maguire, American Pie.... Can you guess the movie character I'm thinking of as I say "Lucky!"?
The ones on mine weren't really deep. I don't think the seller realized that the scratches are common on this type of leather.
I meant to quote LIblue, and grabbed yours by mistake. I didn't mean to say your bag was deeply scratched. But a bag with deep gouges would not be normal. Surface scuffs/scratches is normal for vintage leather.
