I work in a hospital, so in order to not take off my wedding ring i had to have a plain one. So i have a 3mm platinum band and i love it. I think even if i didn't work in a hospital i would have had plain, just seems right to me. But you do whatever feels right to you. Good luck. And congratulations on your forthcoming wedding.

I have a shared setting like barcreperie was talking about, which it sounds to me like a good option for you to have since you are worried about that one being too big.

Here's a picture of my wedding bands: (I wear one on top, one on bottom of my e-ring)

Why do you have 2 wedding bands?
I've seen a few women who does this as well, & I've always wondered why.
It looks so nice too!

OP, I have a wedding band similar to yours. It's 8 stones equaling 1 ct. and it does not take away from the e-ring. Like everyone else said, your fiance isn't the one wearing it, so wear what you like! Also, August 9th is our wedding anniversary :smile1:.

The Tiffany heart shaped e-ring looks really pretty with the diamond 2.2 mm half circle shared setting band.
The band doesn't sit flush with the e-ring so there is a little bit of a gap, but I think they look pretty together.

I've got a half circle channel set band with diamonds (sorry it's not the clearest shot):

Here's mine:

It's a full eternity, with diamonds and sapphire. I'm not allowed to "officially" wear it until October. The enlarged picture makes it look chunky, but both my rings are thin because my fingers are so short.

love your bands. they look really dainty, elegant and sparkly

I'll post a pic of my set,I did't want to detract from my e-ring so I went plain, but I have seen some beautiful sets that work so well together, and as a few have said before, you're going to be the one wearing,so go for what really makes your heart purr!!!!

Incidentally,I never went for an eternity in the end,I had my diamond studs upgraded instead,I did'nt want to 'interupt' my wedding set,as I liked them a bit plain, and I have had a big platinum band, the one with the wave and lil diamond in it that I always wore on my other hand,so I never really wanted to get an eternity for my right hand.

If I did'nt have the big band already,I'd have gone for an eternity for that hand. Its all personal preference really,go for what you love!!

I have a simple platinum band, but next month for our 28th anniversary I'm getting a new wedding band. At first I thought I wanted a five stone diamond ring b/c they're so pretty, but after trying on a lot of them, I've decided a channel setting would look best with my diamond.

I have a one carat diamond eternity band with diamonds all around.. I would definatly go for the half one.. After I had my son I needed to go up a size and had to trade in for a bigger size.. luckly I was able to do this for little cost. sorry i dont have any pictures :( my engagement ring is a little over 1/2 a carat but I also have four little diamonds on each side so total weight is 1 carat ( 2 carats for the whole wedding set) .. if mine was a solitare I would have gone for the half eternity band. hth! good luck and congradulations!
