Ooh interesting! I lost one of the la pousette backs and all the ones in the boutique were too loose – they were also bigger in size. They had to send back to the workshop for a match. (I'd swapped out for thinner platinum posts on the mini frivole).
How interesting!

I was told by my SM it can be done, she has done it for a few customers. They can't unscrew the posts but they can file it down, if you are happy with that.
Thank you for sharing this good news. I hoped and guessed that they would find a way to accomplish it. I would be happy with any method that makes them more comfortable to wear. That is very interesting that they file down the posts, I was wondering how they could accomplish it since the posts are not removable. Very interesting tidbit.
Have either of you had issues with lengthening the post on vintage Alhambra pave earrings? An SA I spoke with today advised against lengthening the post as a lot of her clients come back with broken posts after lengthening. I guess it may hit against the French clasp? She also mentioned more drooping after lengthening the post. TIA!

Apologies, I cannot comment because I don't have any personal experience with Vintage Alhambra. The first and only pair I've had this done on was my Plum Blossom earrings. But what you SA said makes sense in a way.

I have only lengthened the posts on sweets and magics, but no issues. The only post that ever broke was on a VA earring that had not been lengthened. No idea how it happened. I would just solder them if you are worried, because the place they can break is right where they screw in (when not soldered).
