I don't know if someone has already posted this, but I'm totally excited about the inside pocket in the City. It is so deep! It practically goes to the bottom of the bag. One of the main things that made me like the Day a bit better was the pocket depth, and now the City has it, too!

Hi gals, I'm new here.. however after reading this thread, it really saddens me. I've came in contact w the the agneau leather and it just did not feel as smooshy and thick as the chevre one. will all these changes make bbags look more and more like a knockoff one? i saw another thread abt the newbagfactory, they seem to be catching up! :s

I just got my 08 Anthra PT from BalNY yesterday. This is my first time owning a PT but I noticed the handles are much flimsier than my other bbags (including my Argent City). I'm glad to hear it's not just my bag. Here's some pics of how bendable the new handles are for those who are wondering:

Is Bal trying to break us in slowly towards flimsier handles for every bbag soon? Just like they broke us in with the agneau leather by introducing it on just some bags in fall 07....? I don't like the softer flimsier handles that are being described! My amethyst does not have the softer flimsier handles... is this an occurrence on all the anthra rh bbags?

Hmmm.... this doesn't sound too good for a newbie collector like me. I've bought other years' bags and am looking forward to the "repeats" of colours, but I can't help feel saddened that I've got in on the act late, and also that Bal has decided that it's acceptable to make these cuts in quality while still raising prices...

ChiChi,I positively adore flimsier handles:yes:..are so yummy:drool:!!!
My '06 BI has flimsier handles than my other Bbags,and I've never had problems with her! Don't worry ;)

Hi girls,
I haven't posted in this section of the forum in a while (been lost in Chanel :p), but reading this thread I felt that it might be useful to reveal what I saw at Barney's BH today. I was looking at a one of the new purple (maybe Sapphire?) Firsts w/ leather-covered hardware. It actually looks quite nice.

However, on closer inspection, I saw that the leather covering on of the studs on the front of the bag had torn open and the plain metal stud underneath was showing. :sad: See this, I picked at it a bit w/ my fingernail :shame: and it tore open even more, and I got to see the thickness of the leather "covering" on the studs. It's super thin and delicate... almost like a membrane of sorts. It made me really nervous as I could imagine it very easily tearing open if a fingernail or something scraped against it. I think I will be sticking w/ the plain uncovered studs for my next bag when I get it.

I went to one of Balenciaga shop in Tokyo to see new collections today, I was wearing 07 violet twiggy then compared to 08 AW sapphire to my violet next to eachother. They are almost the same colour. I would say 98% similer.

I also asked SA that why the extra tasseles are not comming with bag anymore, and her answer was " the tassels have been improved not to spillintting apart like used to do so, no need extra tassels" This excuse did not really convince me.
I am waiting for my Amethyste so I have not got new season bag yet I wonder how strong the tassels are?
