You may be right…the stamp is not embossed with a color. The seller said it was Veau Chamonix, but it is a reseller so they may not know for sure or be wrong. I will do some research…

Hi everyone, this is my first time posting in this forum and I want to ask for your expertise. There is a black vintage kelly box 28 I’m looking at. The condition is stated very good and it’s O in a circle so that denotes a 1985 bag.
There are some pictures I have some concerns and wonder if condition and Spa with help with the bag.
The seller said the pictures I circled are creases but no cracks on the bag. There is some lifting on the handle base in the which is visible in the back picture. The corners have some wear on all 4. Other than the the bag looks pretty good.
So I’m just wondering if the bag is in the good condition for an 1985 bag. I think I just need some confirmation to pull the tigger.

Congrats! She's beautiful! I've seen others get vintage bags from their birthyear and I think that is so cool. Maybe I'll put that on my acquisition list too.
Hi Everyone, I just got this lovely Kelly 28 sellier in graphite box from 1987 
(second picture with my gold b35 in gulliver, also vintage from 1997
). She was likely improperly stored by one of her previous owners and developed a crease in the front. First few pics were when I just unboxed her. Last pic was after I massaged her to help regain some structure back. My after sales specialist recommended a pillow which I have purchased when she returns from spa.
She’s currently en route to Paris. He is inquiring about making a strap for me and adding the double rings, in addition to cleaning/conditioning and minor glazing repair, etc.
I asked him if the spa can clean and polish the hardware but he suggested replacing completely with new hardware. I don’t mind the scratches/patina (no black/tarnish/chipping other than on the pins), but the lock and key are badly tarnished. He recommended replacing all so they match. I am somewhat torn about replacing the hardware when it’s not in terrible condition. Any thoughts? TIA!

I did not and I would not.. looks perfect
Nice bag . In my experience, they will only add the d-rings if you are going to replace the handle- replacing the handle is quit expensive and it will take a lot of time. Hardware looks in good condition, if it is just some tarnished spots I think you can get it polished.

Although I think the hardware looks decent, I would replace if you think you would like to carry this with a wider cross body strap. I have one kelly with single handle rings, and I worry about rubbing against the strap. ETA: I do have some damage from strap rubbing which is why i suggest replacement
