Awww.....:nogood:....Sorry about your lil Precious. It is hard to lose a good friend who has been with us for a long time. I could often still feel the presence of my recently passed pets around me for months; it is quite comforting.
I always adopt seniors~age 10 and up so I have to let go of a pet probably every few years or so. But it's so worth it.....senior pets are THE BEST!! When I bring them home from the shelter, they grow younger before my very eyes.
that's great you adopt seniors people don't realize that animals have feeling and they love you more than anyone can .i hate people who get them for a fashion statement or think an animals to old .my cat silent will be 19 in august and she has not slowed down one bit she still beats up on my one remaining dog a chihuahua .im glad there are people like you in this word .thanks for your kind words

"Silent" is a very cool kitty name! We are always looking for new kitty names at the shelter that I volunteer at. I have a calico who turns 18 next month. It surprises me how active she can be. She does a lil dance when I cook chicken, LOL. She loves chicken.

I know I'm late to the thread but I also love Charlie! Too cool!!

Just curious, is one of your children going to take in Charlie down the road?

Here is my dog Kory posing next to my gray Phoebe, and photoboming a shot I took of some mugs I got for Christmas (I know it's not Coach but I hope you don't mind that I shared that one too! :blushing:)

Kory is adorable.

I think one of my children will probably take Charlie when I no longer can keep him but I guess it depends on what their life situation is at the time. I have 3 children but they are still in school. My oldest daughter may end up settling on the east coast, which isn't an ideal climate for him. If no one wants him, I'm sure I can give him to a zoo.

Thanks! You are so right about the zoo, I didn't even think about that! :smile1:

omg i just want to hug him and squeeze him and never let him go hes so cuddly looking

I'm so glad to hear you say that. I lost my beloved Callie a couple of years ago. I was convinced she was different because she was a calico but I never found proof. She was a little princess, so smart and so loving to me.

I heard on the show "Too Cute" on animal planet that calicoes usually have a different behavior. They're more brazen and a few other things I can't remember. But mine is definitely a diva/princess. She is my baby and a cuddler/snuggler to the max. She's the only cat I have ever had that gets under the blankets to sleep with me. :-) love her!

18?!? Wow. That is so nice to hear and gives me hope for my Zola. She is almost 7, strictly indoors (we rarely go for walks on her harness and leash) she's been lost a couple of times and found each time. She has a collar with her name and home again chip too. She's my darling princess and I would love 18 years with her! I love how u said she dances when you make chicken....makes me think of the chicken dance lol

Oh Lord, I have numerous Coach/feline photobomb pics...my little girl Kahlua is such a diva and MUST be the centre of attention...here are just a few shots. My one boy Tequila gets in a few of my pics completely by accident but my other boy Guinness tends to avoid the camera as much as possible. ;)

Oooooooh she looks just like my Zola. I can see her personality in those pics. What a beautiful girl you have there!

We have a turtle that's been in the family almost 60 years. My dad got it out of a pond when he was 10 and gave it to his mother for Mother's Day. He was with my grandparents until they moved out of their house into an apt, now it's with my dad who's 67 now.

I decided it was time I started taking some pictures of my bags now that I'm active on tPF. I just took my new le pliage outside as I thought the red would look lovely against the grass in the sun. Trouble ensued. It descended into a (playful) argument about not damaging Mummy's bag. I tried to get a snap of her when I had chased her away and she was sitting clearly planning her next attack but didn't manage it.
