Hi all - I’m thinking of getting a personalized Keepall.

How do the customizations hold up? What if the paint fades, bubbles or gets scratched over time - can we send it back to LV for a repaint? Is that possible?

The paint chipped on my Mon Monogram cardholder, so I'd imagine the My World Tour line would be the same. But honestly though, I can't even complain since I used it a lot and it was always in my pocket being rubbed against my pants as I walked and sometimes my keys would be in my pocket too (I'm a guy, so I use my wallets a little differently)

EDIT: I just looked on the website, when did they change the name to My LV Heritage?? Wow, it's been a while since I've even thought about LV, so this is completely new to me.
Hi there.

Did you send your cardholder to LV so they can fix the chipped paint? Can a cracked/chipped paint be fixed/repainted by LV at all?

So, I was curious about this also and looked it up. There was a thread in 2010-2011 that asked this and about 5 people reported chipping happening in 6 months or less, but the majority had personalization for years and nothings happened to the paint. Then again, this was over 10 years ago now, and with quality declining… who knows nowadays.

If it makes you feel any better, Angelus Direct has some really good purse protectors and paint sealants. I’ve used their paints and top coats on canvas pieces I’ve painted, I’d say the oldest is about 3 years old and there’s no signs of chipping, and I’m rough on bags. They’re a brand that specializes in shoe customizations, so their stuff is made with shoe wear and tear in mind. They also have aerosol cans for waterproofing and protecting. Haven’t used the aerosol on vachetta (my Mon Monogram will be my first piece with vachetta) - but I’ll make it a Guinea pig.

I know some people don’t like altering their bags or apply products in any way, shape, or form. However, if you do want a MTO piece and can’t find an answer, I can vouch that I’ve never had an issue with canvas I’ve personally painted.

Hi! Thank you so much for the tip! I appreciate it.

Do you mind sharing the exact Angelus Direct products you use? Which protectors and paint sealants from their line would you recommend?

Unfortunately no, for a few reasons: they apply the final film layer of the canvas after they screenprinted it, also the printing is done on the flat canvas piece before it gets sewn up, they cannot put the bag into the printer, also since the threads are sewn over paint, they cover it, making a proper full repaint impossible without disassembling the bag. So in almost all cases they count chipping as wear and tear.

I see. Thank you for this detailed information!

Does anyone know how the black paint and gray paint hold up? These are the paint colors I plan to get.

And has anyone dared to have their paint fixed by a 3rd party artist? I guess this is the only way we can have the paint touched up in case they fade or chip over time.

hi! I welcome any insight and advice regarding colors/initial for this zippy organizer. These are the options I love. Pink is my favorite color BUT I find this bright blue so happy & pretty

The 3-letter version looks very cool. The letters make quite an ideal combination optically (which is not the case with many many monograms). But colour-wise I cannot help, both the Fuchsia and Bleu Clair are stunning. Also the white is a great choice for definition.
