Ive gotta admit that it wasn't love at first site *sigh* I thought the grey would be a different shade, like how it appeared to be on screen. It seems to have a bit of blue tone to it.
Congrats on your LVoely bag!! What color is your interior? I did notice that the swatches give a better representation of the colors. Did your boutique not have swatches?

There's a few small white dots on the front near the bottom...is it worth complaining to customer service about it?

BTW...thank you everyone for your comments/compliments!

I ordered online. I've been to the boutique quite a few times this year where I could have looked at the swatches...don't know why I never did. It's not an ugly grey but it's just not what I had initially expected. My MC cles has grey on it and the two are totally different shades.

Oh no, that is the color chipping off! That isn't supposed to happen. If you can take it to a boutique they will probably be more helpful than calling on the phone. One other TPF'er had this happen and they offered to order her a new bag or get a credit. This is exactly what makes me nervous about mon mono, it's not supposed to chip...

I decided that it really bothered me knowing the dots or chipping...whichever..is there so I called CS yesterday explaining the flaw. After talking with them they said itd be best to mail it back to them for evaluation since it was ordered online. They said they will determine wether it is an actual defect or "part of the normal process!?" If I'm paying good $ for it I don't think there should be extra paint, paint chipping, or a bald spot with no color on the main design of the bag!

Mon Monogram will chip in time, just like the groom pieces. The process is the same. This was confirmed by my SA, our leather goods manager, and the store manager. They call it normal wear and tear. It's just a silk-screening. I hate it when I hear that some SA has told someone the color will never chip. Drives me crazy. They actually warned me against it for that reason. But at least they were honest. I still love the mon-monogram, but I know it would upset me later when the color started chipping.

Hi everyone... I can't get my head away from getting something in mon mono now.... I need to decide if I want a NF MM or the Speedy 30.

Anyway, I'm sorry if this has been asked before, but what is the process of getting one at a store? Do you pick out your bag first and have it sent off? Or do you just go in to pick your colours and then they pick out a bag for you when they do the silk screening? If it's the latter, are all the bags they pick out for you MIF since the silk screening is painted at the factory in Paris? Again, sorry if this has been asked before. TIA!

They are all made in France because the color is placed on the canvas and once it is done, they cut the bag or SLG to make whatever you ordered.

You go to the store and they show you swatches of the colors on actual monogram. From there you go to the computer and choose your bag and colors. I actually removed the swatches to see my colors side by side. Make sure you view the bag from all angles to make sure you like it.

They will ask you about 2-3 times are you sure about the colors because Mon Mono is non refundable. They process the order and you give them a 50% deposit. You get a receipt and maybe a letter with details on color, stripes and everything. I received both. From there you start your countdown. You never see the bag because it's a MIF bag.

You get a call and you go in to see your bag and take her home paying the remaining balance of course. That's how the process worked for me. I hope this was helpful.

Yes, thanks for the info! I'm all about instant gratification though so it will be hard to wait for it to come after I've ordered it lol... You are all troopers! I think I should really take my time in deciding what I truly want though. I don't want to be tired of my choice in a few years.

My SA told me today that anything mon mono has a 10 year warranty. Thats good to my ears. i never knew this! :)
I never heard this either and no offense, I don't really believe it. I'd like to hope it's true, but I don't see LV giving a decade long "warranty" on anything. And what comes with the warranty? A free replacement or repair?

So crazy because I had several SA's say it wouldn't chip. So I guess it's a crap shoot on how they'll respond if someone's bag does chip...

There is no ten year warranty on mon-monogram. This just isn't true. What I've been told if there is chipping in the first year, replacement is a 'possibility." that's a quote. After that, it's "normal wear and tear.". That was also a quote. I still may get one, but with the knowledge that it may chip
Just like groom and other silkscreened items. They did tell me bags that rub against your clothes or body, like the neverful, are more likely to chip quicker just due to friction. I still like them but would probably go with a speedy or something that wouldn't be rubbing against your body, arms or clothing.
