I wear a lot of jewelry but only what I can take off.

I had a trauma in 2020 and about 8-10 surgeries after that, not sure exactly, lost count. Actually I had another surgery yesterday. And the anesthesiologist always tell you to take all the metal items off before the surgery. I went to my first surgery with my diamond ear piercings on thinking it would be ok because they’re tiny. But they took them off for me when I was asleep and kept them with my personal items.

That’s one of the reasons I stopped wearing my Cartier love bracelet.
Also same requirements if you do some scans like mri.

Oh, I’m so sorry about all your surgeries - that’s brutal! I’m keeping my fingers crossed I won’t have to get mine cut off anytime soon, but if it does happen the store charges $20 to re-weld them.

Been enjoying my welded chain but wanted to add a little sparkle. I've always loved the look of the classic DBTY but don't like it when bracelets spin and show the clasp, plus I prefer the stone set in a white metal. So it worked out great that my local jeweller is now doing a permanent bracelet line including both white and yellow gold AND both mined and lab diamonds. So I added a white gold/lab diamond solitaire to my chain, and then also got a yellow gold paperclip chain. Very happy with these little 24/7 bracelets and how they look with the Tiffany silver Hardwear (which needs a cleaning badly!).

I love this look!

I had surgery in May and told them my bracelet doesn't come off but if they absolutely needed it off, they could cut it at the jump ring. They ended up taping underneath it and it was fine.20240523_152657.jpg

Yeah it’s no fun for sure… Thank you!
But I cover my injuries and scars with jewelry lol
Actually I started searching for jewelry pieces to hide scars like 2 days after the 11 hours first surgery and ordered it custom made. Now that’s commitment to beautiful pieces 😂

Great idea - beautiful things to cover up the scars! I actually have tattoos covering up large scars on my arm and stomach…they weren’t in places jewelry could help!
