Curious if anyone knows what this means!

“Pending Product Availability”

I ordered something last night that became available online. Got the order confirmation right after. When I log in to see the status it says pending product availability. Does that mean it actually wasn’t available? Or?

I have not received a shipping confirmation yet...

What happens now? Ive never seen this while ordering online.

What did you order? Maybe they are expecting a shipment of the item?
 
Hi I ordered something on the 28th and it said the same thing, so I figured they were attempting to locate my item which has been out of stock for awhile. Today I checked and it now says “order in preparation.” :smile:

It’s like a preorder thing that they do now. For some of the very popular items like TP 26 etc, sometimes the website lets you order without an estimated date of arrival. They usually give a time frame of 2 weeks but I have received orders a few days earlier too.
 
I ordered a Palm Springs Mini in monogram 9 days ago and the order went through, however, the status showed as "Pending Product Availability." Later in the week, I noticed my account had been refunded, however, I assumed that since the status of the order was still "Pending Product Availability," they were just going to charge me again once the item came in since they told me they were expecting a shipment for the bags soon. On Sunday evening, I noticed that the order was removed from my order history, so I called and inquired to see why the order was removed, although I had already figured out what happened. They told me that my order was cancelled because they didn't get it in stock and didn't know when the item was going to be stocked again. Although I was pissed that my order was cancelled because I've been wanting the Palm Springs Mini in monogram for months now, I'm disappointed that I had to call to find out my order was cancelled. They should send out an email and change the status of the order to cancelled on the website so that the customer is informed that they will no longer be getting what they ordered without having to call and find out what happened. After this experience, I'm not happy about this new preorder system that they have implemented. I'd prefer that they only sell what they have in stock instead of potentially holding a customer's money for a product they don't have yet and can't guarantee will come in stock within a reasonable time. I also ordered a Mini Pochette Accessories in monogram that currently has the same status, however, the Pochette Metis that I ordered today currently says "Order in Preparation." I hope I get my Mini Pochette but I'm not holding my breath.

EDIT: I just called and asked about the status of my Mini Pochette in Monogram and was told that it will likely be cancelled as well as the item is on backorder for at least 5 to 6 weeks. If I don't see a status change by Thursday, I'm just going to cancel my order because they currently have my funds tied up for an order they don't believe will be fulfilled. I'm so disappointed. If this is the case, this item should have never been available for me to order in the first place.

I suppose I could hold out a little longer to see what happens. Doesn’t sound promising. I’m just use to my items shipping right away.

The toiletry 26 is being shipped. I also ordered a Palm Springs Mini and it is still showing pending product availability.

That happened to me twice for the POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES - mono. They cancelled my order without any notification. I got a different answer every time I called to inquire about it. I guess I need to give up on it. I did receive other hot items like the round coin purse, mini pochette - mono, TP 26 mono, and Favorite MM - mono. That is the last thing will satisfy my LV obsession for awhile but I guess I will never get it :sad:

UPDATE: I just got off the phone with the LV CS and they said that the POCHETTE ACCESSOIRES - mono won't be stocked for 2-3 months. That's crazy...they said they are just getting caught up on orders and items should be fully stocked soon but I'm not holding my breath....

Okay so I have an update for anyone who is still interested. I did receive my toiletry 26 but unfortunately it’s much smaller than I thought it would be for what I was going to use it for. I will return it.

I also contacted my old SA and as luck would have it she received a Palm Springs mini that same morning. So I did a charge send. That should get here in the next day. Yay!

My status never changed online but when I called to cancel the mini he said that it was showing available and they could ship right away. I declined because I wanted the “for sure you have it” Mini not the “it shows” mini lol. I really don’t think they should offer preorder for things they aren’t even sure about. Or they should let you know while ordering that you are “pre ordering”. I think they should only sell what is actually in stock.

While I don’t think you should give up, it can be off putting to keep ordering the same item and then have it be cancelled. To be honest, after having waited for months for the Palm Springs Mini in monogram to come in stock and then have it cancelled like that turned me off a little bit from wanting to order it again anytime soon, especially since I already have the bag in reverse monogram. I hope you are able to get your hands on it the Pochette Accesoires in monogram. The Palm Springs mini is also the last thing that will pacify me for awhile but I don’t think I will buy it anytime soon since I used the money that they refunded me for the bag to get a Pochette Metis.

I don’t blame you for cancelling your order and doing a charge send, at least you know for sure that you’ll get it! I agree with you, I personally think they should only sell what’s in stock.

Thank you. There really is no reason to keep it. If they had them in the stores I would have saw that right away but since it was based on pictures I just had to hope. But well it’s going back as soon as I get the chance.

My PSM did come. I am on the fence about this one. The alignment it pretty off at the pocket. The rest of the bag is well made. But that alignment is throwing me off a bit. The zipper is smooth on the open but a huge pain to close. So just giving it some thought for a moment. I should have asked my SA for a pic like I normally do but I was so excited I didn’t even think about it.

Thoughts?

Hi everyone! After stocking the website for weeks I finally was able to purchase the favourite mm in DE. However it says “pending product availability.” How concerned should I be about not getting it? Was it a glitch on the website and I shouldn’t have been able to order it?

I would keeping checking the status online and your credit card activity....if it goes through you will get shipping email but if it’s canceled you get no notification....my ordered was canceled twice for the pochette accessories - mono....money was put back on my card...but keep checking daily...

Thank you for your response! I just checked and it changed to “order in preparation.” I am hoping this is a good sign!
