Pearl Studs vs. Diamond Studs?

Diamond studs! Since they're on your ear, you can get a cluster, which adds sparkle too (just ensure clarity and color)! But I would suggest investing in Solitaire since you can wear them for life!!

I've never been a fan of pearls though. Maybe I should get some pearl studs

Pearl Studs! Love pearls in general I feel dressed when i wear them even if I'm just in sweats. But if someone gave me some beautiful white diamond studs then i wouldn't hesitate to wear them (calling my DH!)

I have a pair of diamond studs that I rarely remove - they are in my ears 360 days a year! Just love them.
Never been a fan of pearls as they don't sparkle and look a little old fashioned IMO.

I have a couple pairs of tiny diamond studs, like .25 ctw or something. Wear them all the time! But I have been wearing pearl studs too lately w a few items of clothing that have white polkadots on them

Diamond studs are a good investment and they go with everything. I have both pearl studs in small and big sizes and I wear them more for the office. I have 1.5ct diamond studs that I can wear both for casual and dressier occasions.

I wear my diamond studs probably 6 days a week. They are set in platinum, with a screw back, I wear them with everything.

Both are classic. Diamond studs are easier to care for as they are more durable whereas pearls will lose their lustre over time especially if you wear them on a daily basis. Go for both.

I wear both... I think you need both. I love HUGE pearl earrings and the way you can see them even if my hair is forward.

I think it's nice to have both, I tend to wear diamonds much more because they're more durable..... My pearls are mikimoto and I baby them. My diamonds aren't the best quality but they're a good color and have a great sparkle, since they're in you ears IMHO I don't think you have to get a quality anywhere near as nice as you would for an engagement ring, just as long as they aren't cloudy, dark, or show inclusions to the naked eye they'll look beautiful in you ears..... this also enables them to be less of an investment.

I'm not a fan on pearls so I vote for Diamonds. I think pearls are a little stuffy and diamonds go with more by far.

I have both, and I wear both.

I have 1.5 tcw diamond studs and several pair of pearls, ranging from Honora button pearl studs to Akoya studs to my latest, South Sea pearls that are 11.8 mm. Diamonds are easy to wear and go with everything, it's true, but pearls bring a certain brightness to the face, even though they don't sparkle. I think they look lovely on every woman - my 21 year old stepdaughter wears her pearls on a daily basis, and they look gorgeous on her! I also think pearls can be dressier - especially my big SS pearls!

I have both but wear my diamond studs 99.9% of the time. I think diamonds can be dressed up or down and go with everything, so I think it's a staple.

I wouldn't choose one over the other. Both are right and appropriate for different occasions and it's good to have a choice in what you have to wear for a specific occasion.
Pearl studs are very classic, but in a subdued way that may safer than diamond studs in some activities--- at an interview, at a strict-dress code environment, or in a place where jewelry would be dangerous. Diamonds, however, are always great for the moments you need lots of sparkle.
