These studs are soo much better in quality than the mikimoto studs that I was going to buy!!
Awww thanks Callire. It was really nice to come back after a long day of the dentist and trying to crisco myself into this bridesmaid dress I have to wear this weekend.
I sure do Keodi, those are the ones you have from me. They are a very earth friendly pearl, I lurrrve them.
I love the multi-color look. They used to call these "Harlequin" strands. Ironically it is one of the few colors I can pull off. Those are beautiful South Seas. A couple of those look like Sea of Cortez- I just had the opportunity to play around with some Sea of Cortez... didn't buy them yet but they are really pretty pearls.
Sidenote: How do people feel about ****** pearls? (Image stolen from druzydesigns) I was looking for a bracelet and initially, these did nothing for me, but maybe this is something that has to grow on you? On the bright side, it would be easy to match these with just about anything.
Here are some pictures of the "petite" South Sea Strands I mentioned as an alternative to Akoya or even FW. These are all 7-9mm.
georgeous are they separate or arethey part of one long strand? sigh they're georgeous!They could start as little as $400. These ones are a bit nicer so they start at $800.
They are three seperate strands, the most expensive is the one on the far right.
They're from ebay seller druzydesigns (one of the only retailers with cortez pearls in the US) and they're about $700.
Jasper! You're right, there are some cortez pearls thrown in there, but they don't have the intense purple-black-green luster
Plus, it'd be too big for my tiny wrists and I wouldn't want to have to get it restrung at a local jewelry place... I'd hate to have to relocate some of those pearls.
I haven't actually bought the bracelet yet. I'm thinking about one after I finish selecting my watch if I've got any leftover funds left (ie if I pick the santos demoiselle over the ballon bleu or roadster). I was thinking of heading over to Kojima to get a custom one done-- then I could probably switch out the WSS for FW and get kamokas.
