Can you qualify for a Grant after your Scholorship? The gov't gives out a lot of $ for education especially women and minorities, check it out if you haven't. It's okay to establish credit and build a fica score. Don't fret. Things work out and fall into place. I wish you great success!

hehe i know i know...im pretty sure i can get a grant, if not after my scholorship I wont be THAT much in debt and as my brother keeps telling me (dudeeee youll be able to pay that off after a year or two as a lawyer, or just marry rich haha) and im very lucky to have a wonderful mother who is paying for my other expenses (ie my handbag obsession!)

But still...im freaked hahaha :) Thanks for the well wishes! :)

scholArship...scholArship.... LOL I'm sorry but that was just bothering me and you both kept misspelling it back and forth with each of your responses.

All in Love...not picking on you because I know I type very fast here and misspell and also have run ons....etc....etc.....:heart:

Also, there are many scholarships out there for women if you look around. You will be amazed! Also don't stress the cost of school---it will be well worth it in the end--but of course...I'm sure you know that already...

I'm attempting to pay of the credit cards I acquired when I turned 18, so all purses go on my debit card. I'd rather save for a bag than put it on a card and feel guilty about it. Besides, it's so much harder to spend real money, so I'll definitely wait to buy a bag I love.

Smart thinking Summer Breeze, I know I was in my mid twenties before I finally paid off CC debt that I racked up in my late teens, Longer than the memory of what I had even bought! :(. That is why I pay mine off every month or I don't use it again until I see that 0 balance. I also like to take advantage of 0% interest offers.... Now wouldn't it be great if coach did that? I can see it now....3 months same as cash! just think of the Lagacy satchels they would sell.

I will never spend more than I can afford to pay at the end of the month. I have never kept a balance on any credit card I have ever had. I do NOT have a high paying job either. I was even this way when I made $6.00 an hour. My parents were the opposite. I can not tell you how many times as a kid I would come home and the electricity would be turned off or the phone. But that same night we would go out for a nice steak and lobster dinner or they would be on a cruise. I learned young to take care of everyday expenses before luxuries. And it has worked very well for me.

I use my cc but it is paid off at the end of every month no matter what. No debt here.

Same here. Luckily (or maybe not so luckily because I still have to pay it back) I borrowed more than I needed for my med school loans, so I have enough money saved to pay off my credit cards in full every month.

I get cash back with my Amex (got back over $300 last year) and use that pretty exclusively for purchases and pay it off every month. No debt for purses or anything else (mortgages excluded)!

Well, both of my bags I've received as gifts and a few of my accessories. However, when i do make purchases I've either saved for them or had a good month and use my commissions check. So I'm a debit girl all they way, I haven't dared use my cc for Coach.

It's a little depressing that I didn't find this Coach love when I was working and making great money. Now that I have no income at all (except dh), of course I develop a love of expensive bags. Isn't that always the way?

luvednotspoiled - good luck in law school! I used to be a paralegal but I gave it all up for the glamorous world of teaching, lol. Don't worry too much but one thing I have found is that school is a money pit! I have most of my tuition paid through grants and other programs but I still have to come up with a bunch of cash for random fees, books and other extras that my professors demand. Ugh, so annoying. :yucky:

This is my story too. I wish I discovered Coach sooner. Oh well. For now I think the best way to earn my bags is to clip coupons for groceries and clearance rack shop for clothes. It can be kind of fun hunting for deals in other areas!
