=) i love charging my purchases via CC because of cash back.

within less then 3 years I've accumulated $280, and of course, starting as of january i've accumulated $50.

i'm not going to state my cashback percentage because it isn't that high.

but i stop myself from carrying too too far, i don't have much in savings, but not much in debt (more school then anything) so...i have to stop spending and saving

but it's SO darn hard

i really really want this white/brown bag, the soho satchel large leather? and of course, a duplicate of my white ali too..those are my next purchases. hopefully with the perfume contest i'll get a little help ;)

ohhhhhh what bank?
i dont have a credit card but i have a debit card with washington mutual and it has the same benefit (cash back rewards). Anyways, no debt for me. I always limit myself and never spend more than what I can afford.

oh so im one of those persons that is DEATHLY afraid of debt so i always just spend what i can afford....buttttt im am so damn scared because im starting law school (:yahoo: ) in Sept....and i am going to HAVE to go in to debt even AFTER my scholorship!!! :( im so bumming about it!

ahhhhhhhh :hysteric: i feel like crying just thinking about it :crybaby:

Can you qualify for a Grant after your Scholorship? The gov't gives out a lot of $ for education especially women and minorities, check it out if you haven't. It's okay to establish credit and build a fica score. Don't fret. Things work out and fall into place. I wish you great success!

I guess I've been trying to be good at spending within my means. But I keep on making excuses for myself to purchase just one more thing. Well, "just one more thing" winds up into quite a few birthday presents for myself before my actual birthday in May!

i think coach should offer a credit card!!! can you guys imagine the trouble we'll get into. It should be complete with a rewards program and everything.

LOL...my brother was buying me a bag at the outlet and he said, very loudy, "If I open up a credit card...do I get 10% off?"

all the SA's laughed at him. heheh

to answer your question...I debit everything...unless I'm buying online, then I use my CC. I'm actually pretty good about NOT going crazy, I only have my eye on one bag, and after a return/depletion of a gift card, it'll be under $150 out of my pocket. I also try to limit bag purchases to every 2 months or so.

My husband's job situation is up in the air right now (ie - he's between jobs right now)...so I'm bringing home the bacon for two...

and he prefers bacon...not signature print....

hehehe

I use my citibank cc and pay it off each month. Plus, the rewards dollars are routed straight to my son's 529. Do you think I can tell PHH that by shopping I am helping build the little one's college fund? (ha ha :roflmfao: :roflmfao: )

:graucho: Oh lordy... My cc companies love me... My DH has laughing at me last night on the phone, because he was saying they would probably let me open a mortgage in my name because of all of the "cc history" I've accumulated... (This is only funny if you understand, I am a 23 yr. old, jobless *but looking*, *hopefully* soon-to-be grad student right now!! DH is bread-winner and a lil older then me... so mortgages/cars, etc have always gone in his name or joint... I think he was subtly trying to tell me something here... )

Anyhow... for Coach purchases I usually only pay debit card... Now that I am not working... they go on my cc and get paid off or partially off... depending on how big of a payment I can justify to DH...

Now Balenciaga on the other hand... :wtf: I paid for the first two... then put the third on my cc... saying it was great because of a 0% offer... and could pay over time... Only problem with that is... now I am trying to justify getting ANOTHER one with that 0% offer... SOMEONE STOP ME... :push: Not to mention all of the cute Coach shoes that I NEED at PCE.... *sigh*.... The list goes on.

I use my debit card and sometimes if I want to buy more than I should I will put a bag that I no longer use on ebay. I always make sure to save receipts, tags, literature on any bag that I purchase. And I always make sure to baby my bags so when I do decide to sell them they are close to perfect!

LOL...i'm with your husband, when it comes down to it, i prefer bacon...not leather or signature so i use cash or if i order i use my debt card. At times i want to cry (it can be hard feeding your addiction...I want alot!) I may even have to sacrifice something else (like shoes:p ) but i love my purchases so it works out.

I use cash and or debit card to make purchases. I don't hold any CC debt and never have. I pay off my Amex each month--when I make purchases on it and that's occassionally. The Chase is also rarely used.

I am also not addicted to buying bags or anything else for that matter. Of course I like to shop like most women but I'm responsible and sensible when it comes to spending. There is no bag that is worth losing my peace of mind and financial stability for. I'd rather spend money on nice vacations, decorating my home (I love nice furnishings, art, etc...) and family. My husband is also thankful for that....LOL.

I have no debit caused by my Coach obsession!

Before I got married and had a baby, I worked and made very good money. I would just pay cash for whatever I wanted.:smile1:

Now Im married to a military man and a stay at home mom. So not much money coming in our way :(

So I tend to splurge around tax refund time, and around our PFD (oil money us alaskans get!) time!:yahoo:

Then there is the birthday money I get and Christmas money.:graucho:

But no Coach debt!:smile1:
