Past or Present, what is/was your Holy Grail bag?

I would think for me - small Parker hippie size and style
but longer shoulder strap (like 3 more inches drop)
and in a pearly purple!

I might consider full price (298) but probably wait for PCE if possible.

So what makes it my HG:
~color
~size (not too big)
~smooshy leather + structures shape
~versatile design

At this point it is definitely my Peyton. I just adore this bag. It just happens to be the most I've spent on a bag at $350, which I know is good for a Peyton, but a lot. I really fought with myself and passed it up at three outlets before I finally just did it. I am SO glad I did. She is gorgeous, she holds everything and is super durable. She is comfortable to hold. She just makes me smile.

My HG is the black medium Lily. I love the look of that bag, something about it just gets me, more than any other bag ever has. The reason I classify it as my holy grail is because it has now become so tough to find. I don't have it yet, but I will one day. But, the economy hit us hard, so I can't afford it now even if I did find it.

But yeah, I think for a bag to really be a Holy Grail, it has to be tough to find.

I think that my HG my Patent Large Plum Sabrina. I paid full price for it and I am fine with that. I love the fact that it has the shoulder strap along with the handles. I also LOVE purple and the crinkle patent leather.

Mine seems to change monthly, which makes me think maybe they're not really HG's but just bags I love a lot. First I thought it was a large cherry Sabrina, I bought it and it just wasn't right for me, fit me awkward. Then I thought it was a large leather bleecker duffle (11423) in British tan, but now that I have it, I'm kind of whatever about it. Sometimes I think I obsess about a bag for so long and in my mind, I build it up to be the answer to all life's problems (If I just had this bag...) then when I get it, and I don't drop 30 lbs, get a new job, a boyfriend, etc. like the day after I get it, I'm disappointed. I'm exaggerating, but my point is I OBSESS so much there's no way some bags can live up to the idea I have of them in my head. I do LOVE the Zoe line though, and am DYING to get a large chocolate one. I have the XL chocolate and a large parchment, but want the large chocolate one so, so bad. That could be a HG for me. If I could create my own HG, it would have following features: shoulder strap (that stays on my shoulder!), possibly a crossbody strap (if it looks right), all leather, pretty lining, not too heavy. So the Zoe really does come close. Good question, hunnyplaya!

See I guess that's why I don't have a HG yet because I am crazy about too many bags and it seems to make no sense to pick just one to be my HG  It's hard when one is as fickled minded as me. But I quite like the idea of creating one's own HG.

I love my silver metallic Sabrina....the Sabrina style is my Coach HG, and I love all the colors I have equally (magenta small, black/brass large, and metallic silver).

My Coach HG is the Patent Camel Madison Sabrina. It is my favorite bag I own currently. It was 501$ including tax but soo worth it. For an HG I'll pay anything lol.

For a normal Coach purse (talking about non-HGs), I am willing to spend up to $300.00 but for a HG, that's a big question mark for me. I don't think I can afford to spend on something like the Oil Slick Sabrina to make it my CHG for sure though :faint: I'm a poor kid

If she makes you smile, you know you have made the right choice purchasing it whether or not it's your CHG ;) If I didn't remember wrongly, I think you said your DH and FIL convinced you to buy it or something. They are so sweet!

I don't know about the other ladies here, but my *HG* changes as different lines come out, and different colors etc. I spent months thinking my *HG* was the black leather Gigi, and when I got her it just wasen't!

My *HG* bag has changed several times, but there are 2 that I stick to no matter what. The one I'd be most likely to spend money on is solely because I already have one similiar and know how much i love it. My #1 *HG* is the Large Spectator Sabrina in grey and/or Lg. fashion patent Sabrina in black. (I'd take either...but if made to choose I'd have to say I THINK the spectator would win. My 2nd *HG* is truly unknown because I've never seen her IRL and that is the black leather medium Lily. I've had so many black leather legacy bags go thru my hands and the size has just never been right. The shoulder bag & Leigh were just a smidge too small, yet the Gigi was a smidge too BIG which leads me to believe that the medium Lily would be my dream boat!!

Although you could most likely ask me again in a month and this may very well change. I also LOVE the new bag BagLady39 just did a reveal for, and I'd have to list that as a bag I would stalk aswell.

If I had the funds I'd spend up to $350 for either Sabrina (maybe $400) and the Lily I'd spend $400 for if she was in great used condition (same w/ the Sabrina's) pre-loved is fine with me so long as they were treated the way I treat my bags...LIKE GOLD!!!

Good luck with finding your CHG someday :hugs: I'm sure you'll manage when the time is right.
