Parts of LV made in CHINA?

A lot of cheap tat is made in China, but we all know that a great many (if not most) high-end brands are also made in China. That is because it costs less over there, and the quality can be as high as you need it to be, at least in most cases. It would not surprise me in the slightest if LV had some of their components manufactured in China, such as some of the hardware or canvas production. It means the parent company can create a better profit margin for themselves whilst maintaining a high price at the point of sale. That is how business works.

I don't care if something is made in China providing the quality is commensurate with the price, and providing the brand is honest about where its goods are made. Bear in mind that the 'made in xxxx' designation simply means that a proportion of the components were assembled in the stated country - it is quite flexible and can be somewhat ambiguous at times.
